It might take several years, but practice is what helps 100%.
I struggle with my pinky. It's not straight, but rather crooked, and the only way to hit some of the stretches is to loosen my thumb on the neck. If i do that, I don't get enough pressure on the strings. Newbie problem. I've heard that some musicians have broken their fingers to straighten them out. Seems rather extreme to me. Additionally, I have very large hands and, consequently, very large fingers, making it difficult to fit them in the fret. Any suggestions. TY.
Great Idea to play along with the looper pedal--I get a lot out of that. It's funny (and great) how songs bring back memories: They used to play this song all the time on the lower slopes, outside the lodge at Sunrise Ski Resort in Arizona. It brings back wonderful memories...thank you.
