Usually they are very strong engines my friend.. they don't break that easily... but sometime you might have some problems with the injectors or egr and Turbo aswell... from what I know they don't have any major problems... if you get one with low miles and the previous owner did the services on time then you won't have any problems with the car ! They are excellent cars my friend !! I still have this A8.. and its one of my favourite cars.... the comfort is brilliant... the only thing I don't really like it's my armrest.. its a little bit noise.. it squicks:))))) tell what you think after you buy it ! I have not encountered any significant problems with the 4.2 engine. The older 4.0 engine had some roughness and moodiness, but the 4.2 appears to be as robust as the 3.0s (which are very robust). It is important to note that all diesel engines can incur significant expenses if injectors or other major components require replacement. However, such issues are more prevalent in smaller engines. As with most diesel engines, they are not well-suited for short trips or primarily urban driving if you want the diesel particulate filter (DPF) to function properly.
@jayeshshivji6954 I was curious if you have alcantara leather on the roof.. Ive seen that only on the S8 and I was curious if others had this coz it feels very expensive... what is ur MPG?
I agree my friend.. but I've seen that you can actualy can connect a Bluetooth... I was thinking of doing that .. but except that... the bose sound is incredible
@@CarswithAlbertAlex I had the W12. You definitely got the better option fuel wise. The W12 was so bad. No matter how you drive it, monster on fuel. I Would like another, but would have to be diesel. 4.2 TDI looks like a good engine. Retains decent fuel mileage too. I think you can also buy a Bluetooth that plugs into cigarette lighter. Otherwise it cost a lot to sort out. 🤙🏻

Actually 3L is a good and reliable engine.. 4.2 is better... but its more expensive to mentain... do you own a 4.2 ?

Yes.. its the Audi A8 Quattro sport ! You can recognise this sport version by the steering wheel.. this was the S line for the A8 back then.

I now have the 4.2 tdi. Invery2G Bluetooth adapter on Amazon. £100. If you have AMI plug it in and you’re off.
