      Matthew - We have a 7.3 and love it. It all depends on what you are wanting to do with it. But it has been great for us.

    Cummins guys will 100% tell you that you made a mistake buying the ford, the snobby elitism is crazy when it comes to those motors. The funny thing is that they somehow forget that the 5.9 is just as slow as the 7.3 from factory

      Exactly. they act like they come 500hp from the factory. stock for stock ive beat a 94 2500 12v reg cab with a 97 ext cab 7.3 auto both auto and 4x4. both gutless compared to anything modern lol

    There is no comparison, The 7.3 piped sounds great and it has a little broader power curve plus it has glow plugs which is more to go wrong but works better when real cold. The 5.9 P PUMP just stomps it other than those factors... Way better fuel mileage, way more power with little tweaking, 5.9 way easier to work on, way less to go wrong. The P PUMP injection system is way better than any of the electronic crap expensive hard to fix injection shit.

      Bullshit. ive been around a few 5.9s with less then stellar cold starts when my 95 when my 7.3 started better. same with fuel mileage. You cant tune on the fly with a 12v. nor have a high idle unless you physically mount a control knob. 7.3s are cheap to maintain and parts aren't that expensive unless you buying injectors. No stupid killer down pin either. 5.9s also cant single spool large turbos worth a damn either.

      @@fordman2288 The 5.9 are hard to start in 20 degree and colder weather that is true, the 5.9 is a way better motor period!

    This guy is very biased. I have owned just about everything EXCEPT FOR A 6.4, so when I say stock for stock every year duramax out tows any other of the big three, believe me. Sure gm trucks aren’t very spacious and the bodies don’t last as well in a work truck application, but year for year the duramax trucks have pulled much easier. Tuned, that’s a different story I have no clue. I used them as a tool, not a play thing.

    • @8020Media
      @8020Media  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      P - We aren't even talking about the Duramax in this video so how can we be biased?

    • @epaequalsgay5777
      @epaequalsgay5777 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The comparison is between the 7.3 powerstroke and 5.9 Cummins are you retarded? Where did you see duramax in the TITLE of the video?

    • @MrSlimeMan01
      @MrSlimeMan01 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      My brother in Christ, this video is based on motors before the duramax was even a thing. The gm competition through the 90s were the 6.2 and 6.5 Detroits, both couldn’t hold a candle to the two being compared here.
