One of my friends has been running Savage Worlds Rifts. He mentioned that he'd love to see the Dimensions books unless they already came out and he somehow missed them.
I'm hoping the Companion includes advice about different science fiction and speculative fiction genres. (Not just other genres IN SPAACE!!!) Is it practical to run an idea-driven campaign? What would it take to run Frankenstein, or Brave New World, or When it Changed, or The Martian as roleplaying campaigns?
@@TheSavageGooseyou know, the usual. A section on different types of apocalypse (virus, zombies, aliens, nuclear war, environmental catastrophes) and then some stuff on how to run those types of settings. Some rules on mutations, viruses, radiation, etc. Then the usual Edges, Hindrances, Vehicles, Weapons, Gear, Powers sections. Some rules on scavenging would be cool.
@@delectustv7494 They did a Fantasy Companion book right after doing Savage Pathfinder. Doing a Post Apocalypse book after doing a Hell on Earth shouldn't be much of a stretch.
Desperate Attack should be compared to Wild Attack as well as ordinary attacks, as Wild Attack is also always an option. As a GM I was leery of it until I realized that it actually beefs up mook Extras a lot more than it helps the players. The only problem there is players may howl about it if you use it too much, but then you can always give them the option of banning Desperate Attack at the table...
@TheSavageGoose Ha! Yes! Basically Desperate Attack is only a bad idea if it turns out you would have gotten a Raise without it. In every other case it either helped you or had no effect, assuming the extra d6 damage from a Raise negates the -4 penalty to damage.
I think it wpuld be great if they paired with Paizo again for a Starfinder AP Edit to add -- Theres loads of cool worlds/settings like Immortals Gates of Pyre that i would love to see partnerships with
Yeah, it would be cool. However, there is still a part of me that Savage Pathfinder would not have been a core rulebook but instead a setting book. I get why they did it, but I don't want to see that trend continue.
Sci-fi should be as large as Fantasy. Starship exploration and combat is a big topic I'm eager to see how hey handle it.

The previous Sci-Fi Companion has a random planet generator. I hope this one will have that as well.
Have you heard of the game Starforged? Its not a SW game but half the book is for generating the various tropes of scifi.
@@erikbuchanan4648 I own a copy of Starforged. It is great. :)
They should do a post apocalypse companion.
What kind of new content would you want to see in that kind of book?

This might be too similar too hell on earth which is supposed to be getting a swade rework.

Isn't post-apoc a genre of SF? It'll likely be in there.

I know when I first read this comment, I definitely though you said it beefed up monk, but mook makes sense too.
