"specific is the universal" first time hearing the quote. its very true, as you are more aware and honest about yourself, you become more able to connect to other people. it applies to art too as it does in all areas of life. thank you for the video!
"Be selfish" actually makes a lot of sense to me, actually. It's so hard to not compare, and to be able to see yourself be able to produce what you see in your head and transfer it to paper (a lot/all my favorite artists seem capable of doing this! Though I understand that it sometimes it takes a lot of bad art to produce one/few good piece[s]). I've always had the mindset when creating art is "is this how it should look?", "Does it look good?" always worrying if it's enough. This definitely makes a lot of sense. As long as it's fun to me, and I like how it looks, regardless if it's done correctly or if others will enjoy it. This makes it more free. Thanks for the advice, it isn't something you hear everyday
Impressive content, JeyRam Drawing Tutorials. Looking forward to your next video from you. I clicked the thumbs up icon on your upload. Keep up the great work! Your insights on the importance of being selfish in the artistic process really resonate. How do you think this mindset can help artists break through creative blocks?
I think of your art as "abstract art nouveau" with all the swirls and organic flow but your use of color is fresh and contemporary. So beautiful!
