The Talyllyn Railway holds a special place in our heart too as we were married on the railway in 2008, in fact our anniversary was yesterday! Of course I wasn't with my lovely new wife on the journey back from Abergynolwyn, I was on the footplate of Edward Thomas in full scottish regalia :-)
I use a product call St. Claire Nano Oils on my locos. When you were lubing your loco you forgot the pins holding rods in place. Nice job for a first year layout at a big show.
@@lmm Find an old loco. Get some sound decibel app. Then run it without the new lube. Record how much sound it makes and how far on the power pack you got to turn it up to get it to move. Then service it with your new lube. Test it for sound and power consumption again. I bet you will find a huge difference and it will make a great video for your channel.
I think I feel the same. Although I like a model that's realistic/prototypical and especially historical I like to model with a certain level of leaving out the "nastier" elements. The real world has enough of it already for me, this is an escape
Something I can’t figure out is how the traversers work Seems like some trains have to shove back across the layout since the engine can’t swap ends or turn the board around
Can you make your content inclusive by formatting the auto captioning into closed captioning please? it is extremely hard to watch it relying only on the auto captioning sadly (I'm Profoundly Deaf)
Whether you believe graffiti to be art or an eyesore, considering that people have been killed trespassing on railway land to create graffiti, anything that tends to legitimise or encourage trespassing should surely be avoided.
There are bits of this i dont remember, and I was there! A pleasure to have been a part of
Thanks for your help man. Was an amazing experience to share with you
The interactions between club members in your group definitely mirrors what happens every time my group gets the layout together. Always a fun time! 😄
It was a real laugh

Glad you enjoyed it!
That deluxe materials oil looks a great product. I will have to invest in some for my models some of which are old noisy models.
It's incredible! I'm using it on everything

We were amazed how good the oil was!

@dkaustin98 good plan
Congratulations for the huge amount of progress from nothing to being at a massive show in less than a year 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
We're frankly amazed we got here

It was quite manic
hi i was thinking of building a ho (00) gauge lay out with Scottish highlands steam locomotives and wagons do you have any tips i live in Tennessee
I suppose the graffiti is a matter of personal taste. Personally it troubles me to see it, especially on heritage railways.
If it was real, certainly.
As something fun and a bit different, we think it's quite cool

we swap the loco around
The locos get picked up and moved to the other end of the train every time they arrive
When are you gonna do more locomotive views?
Soon!
Absolutely sucks that i wasnt able to go there, way to far away for me
It was a very good show - sorry you couldn't make it
@lmm just thought of this- The MK 1 gravity train
Why don’t you consider making your modular layout open to all so that it’s like a Fremo layout. I would be up for that.
I think it would become a logical nightmare
@@lmm But oh what fun
Those TMC carriages!!! Just wow!
Stunning aren't they!
Can you please do a separate video for the graffiti coaches
Yes we can
@ thanks
Was watching with my bf i would love to add an lmm car to his collection but he says is oo and he doesn't have any to run with it
There is some oo stuff in the pipeline
Hi lawrie
Hello
Fantastic looking coaches. 👍
I imagine this will lead to TMC being asked to do more in the future. 😁
I would have thought so, they do amazing work

Hi
First 😈
Good work
Why thank you
WOW! How many times did you nip off to see how other layouts were doing........
..........then not show anything!!!!
Several times.
Unless you're sitting waiting by another layout, it's quite difficult to actually see any progress

Indeed.
But I don't think that this does any of that.
