Thank you for sharing this. Sadly, I feel that this is way too complicated for independent young student work, and overwhelming for my parent population. Darn. I wish there was an easier way!

I totally agree! This way is tricky. The main problem is kids must have a google account. Alternatively, I create resources specifically for Seesaw.

Using the link version is a lot more steps for a young student. Why now make the movable piece once in Seesaw. I know the movable is only in the upgrade only, but definitely worth it.

Yes, it depends on students. I have versions of my Google Slides set specifically made for Seesaw with moveable pieces there. This option can be used for kids who can follow all the steps and have a Google account.

Thank you for this video, however, with my Kinders, they would have a hard time with all the steps. Do you have a video that shows how to specifically move a movable Google Slide into Seesaw?

Thanks for sharing! Question, do students need to have a google account to view the slides? My district does not allow google and so I am trying to find a way to share editable slides with students without them having to log in to their google account to edit. Do you by chance know the answer?

Yes, they need to have a Google account. Some teachers mentioned that it's not allowed for their students that's why I've created resources specifically for Seesaw.

Thank you so much! I don't think I've seen this feature!

Hi! Do your students have to have Google email/account to complete any Google Slides activities on Seesaw? It looks like the would be prompted to log in with the Google email.

multiple steps to get to Seesaw. It is a bummer that a first grader would have to to to the extra steps just to get to the assigned activity. Plus my kiddos do not have google drives

    • @CrazyCharizma

It could be! That's why I started creating specifically for Seesaw. I have a course about it and ready made resources if you are interested!

It didnt work...it posts the google thing and not slide. If you figure out how to click the link on page it goes to slides and instructs to make a copy, which I thought I already did. I tried it with sample student and it does not show my google slides with the link.

What do you mean by "it posts the google thing and not slide"? What are you talking about?

@@CrazyCharizma at exactly 2:30 on your video, the google sign in frame where you hover over it like the slide has been added. and it isn't.

@@tinakobriger8365 I have no idea what you're doing on your side but I just repeated all the process today (September 25, 2020) and everything works. Something to keep in mind: when you added a Google Slides link as an example in Seesaw (not a template), when kids get to it, they automatically see they need to add a response with 6 types of Seesaw ways (note, drawing, link, etc,). They need to click on "View instructions", they will see the preview of a Google Account (which is super ugly and doesn't really show the resource but Google account log in page) where they click, and then click on that Google Slides link. It will take them to the page where they are asked to make a copy in their Google Dirve (but they must be logged in to their Google Account, otherwise this whole process doesn't work) and then the Google Slides set open and they can work in it.

@@CrazyCharizma then why do we not see the slides when you added them? You show the google sign in screen not the slides. On my side? Exactly what you did...and got the same sign in screen...it worked just like it did for you...not helpful. Maybe you should show from kids perspective and what they need to do...I would think adding slides would mean they could see the slides. I will continue to look for instructional videos...thank you for the help.
