    FULL DISCLOSURE:
    This video is not sponsored nor did I receive any money. While I sometimes get bags for free, I have to pay custom fees, shipping fees and all my videos have lots of production costs (e.g. software and musicrights). Therefore I invest my own money into all of these videos and I have no intention to be biased towards a product or company. Every review and quicklook is written by me and no company can pay for preferential scheduling or what is said in the video. Furthermore, the company sees the video the same time as all viewers here on youtube. All opinions in this video are my own unless stated otherwise.

    HOW I REVIEW:
    As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.
    DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:
    A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.
    LINKS:
    For all my videos I decided not to include links for the products. Everyone is living in different countries and therefore has to deal with different shipping and customs fees. That is why I would advice everyone just to Google the product within their country to find the best deals. For instance: I live in Germany, It wouldn’t make sense to give you a German link while you might be living in USA or Asia. I hope that is understandable.

    Love reviews of actually used items! Real test, and adds a lot of personality to the content.
    I've been using the Seishin sport bag for a while now, and carried weird stuff with it (often pretty heavy, like cat litter bags or dismantled calisthenic bar). I found it many flaws during those years but it's also holding up so well, it's actually impressive.

    Have a couple of these the medium and large. The large one is about 8yrs old now and has been used at least 3 times a year travelling South East Asia. Has a few nicks here and there now due to island hopping around the Philippines for the last 3yrs. But still holds up well and has plenty of life left in it yet.
    Definitely worth the price for it's durability and practicality.

    im a fan of twins as well! into my second one. they hold up really well. dont buy the cheap stuff, they end up wearing way faster and less protection, hurting your hands/body. handwaraps i would recommend cloth ones, dont get elastic ones as its hard to gauge how tight to wrap, as can be overly tight. shin guards i can recommend twins one as well. my coach really likes yokkao stuff.
    get proper muay thai shorts too! or shorts with big opening at the end. so that you can kick properly. gym shorts / normal shorts just dont cut it.
    i struggle to pack all the stuff together with my edc though on training days. no good solution, have to use a tortuga 35L bag.
    would love a bag that can expand on days that im going to train.

    Thank you for the long term review. I just got a used medium size given to me from a friend. Its abou 5 years old and still in good condition with a few scratches. Fingers crossed it lasts a lot longer like yours.

    I just bought this bag specifically for Muay Thai. I was having a nightmare looking for a bag that would fit my shin guards in! I opted for yokkao shin guards and there huge and don’t move much which meant I needed an even bigger bag to fit them in. Thanks for the review I’m just waiting on my bag now and the Muay Thai gym to open back up! Happy new year! 🎉

      That's great. Happy to help. I was considering the Yokkao shin guards as well, but I was hesitant ordering all the way from Thailand tbh. Which ones did you get?

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Found this video whilst looking for a gym bag for Muay Thai - particularly one that can accommodate shin guards.
    Do you guys rate the base camp duffles over Patagonia black hole duffle?

      Thanks for watching. Patagonia has some good reputation and good stuff. But I personally have only tested their jackets and not their bags.

      Ah, and since you asked in the video: I have a Timbuk2 messenger bag from 2005 that has been with me around the globe as well. Was my EDC bag for a long time and now serves as a shopping/beach/whatever bag on trips. Went out of daily use just because a backpack is more comfortable.
      Back then Timbuk2 just made one type of bag in different sizes, completely customisable in terms of colors & materials - and even a left-handed option.

      @@jim_bocho Thanks for the reply. I used to have a Timbuk2 messenger as well. Together with Crumpler they used to be quite popular here in Germany (as you probably remember as well haha)

    Bo- One tiny question: Why don’t you use your Remote Equipment Org Kits for the smaller items that are hard to find in a large bag with minimal organization?

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fortunately this version has just one compartment with one zipper. I use a tsa friendly lock for the two zipper pulls. It definitely keeps away those opportunistic pickpockets

    Twins is great but I generally prefer Fairtex. I will agree that there is a noticable difference between the more economical martial arts equipment and the "good stuff."

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was actually considering fairtex as well. But after watching some reviews saying they were a bit stiffer compared to twins, I went for the twins. And I don't regret it. Now I need to invest in some better chin guards. Any recommendations?

    • @William.N
      @William.N ปีที่แล้ว

      I assume you mean shin guards based on the video. Fairtex has some really good ones (gotta throw them in since I have never had a problem with their stuff). Top King also is good for about the same price. If you want to get even pricier, I have heard Hayabusa is also good. I haven't used their shin guards but their gloves are good.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@William.N hahaha. my bad. yes, shin guards for my legs ;-) I have seen top king around here in some gyms. The fairtex look very good as well. Do the elastics underneath your feet hold up well?

    • @William.N
