Great video, decibels are linear-measured exponentially-meaning the difference between 54 and 58 isn’t a little-your ears didn’t lie-that’s a significant difference.

I owned the garmin force before the quest & Garmin didn't do too bad on their 1st attempt but The quest blows away my garmin..The Garmin got really loud fast...

It's disapointing to me that they didn't get rid of the steering noise. I guess I'll be looking at their competition.

What are you talking about? I own the ultrex quest & there's NO steering noise at all...

I would be curious to see what the thrust motors measured without the wind noise of the props. That might show a much bigger difference.

I have both...I love the quest alot more...I can do so much more with the quest..The spot lock is hands down alot better.Garmin used to drive me nuts with all the moving it did it almost threw me out the boat several times..The Garmins a good motor also,I just like my quest better..

Have you ever compared the best name brand trolling motor to best Chinese brand trolling motor? The reason why I asked is because the “Haswing” Cayman B is $1100 and features spotlock, way points gps, wireless foot control, and remote same features as the minn kota 1/2 the price but it’s hard finding TH-cam reviews. Keep up the good videos we appreciate them

I'm a firm believer it doesn't bother the fish like you would think..The noise actually attracts smallmouth to the boat, they are such curious creatures..
