Nooo Zen :(, ggs though, Mawkzy is in phenomenal form!
There are 3 axes of rotation in flight. Pitch, yaw, and roll. Pitch is up and down. Yaw is side to side. Roll (aka air-roll) is rotation around an imaginary line that extends from the nose to the tail. In actual flight, roll gives us bank which allows the wing to produce lift in a horizontal direction. However, RL cars don’t have wings or produce lift so roll - in regards to movement through the air - is theoretically useless. I think Jack was talking in a previous video about how monkey moon dusts everyone in the air because he limits his use of air-roll which makes him quicker and more boost efficient

It's not a stupid idea. But there will be certainly some people who just want the likes without caring for "the cause". I just know for myself personally that I sometimes went down to the comments, and immediately caught myself and went back up because I saw one of those "no spoilers" comments, so it has been helpful for me.

It's not always easy to take a loss easily, especially one that ends an incredible win streak - I believe this is Zen's first showmatch loss to a player other than Rw9. Taking losses more on the chin will be part of his mental growth throughout his career, I'm sure.

They are reading Zen better. Also these matchups are so close most of the time. At this level everyone can beat everyone.
It also depends on how the playstyle fits to the opponent. Mawkzy looks like he can counter these top player perfectly. He has a rly good record against Rw9 and also Zen struggles.
But yeah I think everyone is watching Zen and looking for counters these days.

SPOILERS ALERT - TWITCH FINAL Rule 1v1
I couldn't figure who's number 2 after the final yesterday.
Mawkzy is the best 1v1 player. Zen was my pick for n°2 but he lost. And Daniel destroyed Rw9 too, completely unpredictable... The thing is, I still feel Zen is better than Daniel. They are the only 2 players I could compare based on their airdribble playstyle. And he won 2-1 vs Daniel. But he lose 0-2 vs Rw9, Rw9 is by default above Zen. And Daniel won 3-1 vs Rw9.
So Rw9 > Zen > Daniel > Rw9. I couldn't figure lol. And if I stop comparing like this, it's still super complicated. Rw9 and Daniel were both on the top, with the edge to Rw9. But Zen won 12 times in a row vs 12 of the strongest players, and destroy Mawkzy for example.
I would say today : Mawkzy is n°1. Rw9, Daniel and Zen are n°2.
I always love player rankings for every sport and for Rocket League too. But for 1v1 it's just too hard because of varying performance and not enough games at top level competition.
Mawkzy undoubtedly jumped to #1 after this, he has won 2 of the last 3 tournaments and has beaten the very best to do so. This tournament he was just on another level to everyone else.
Rw9 spent the entire year as #1 and even when not active he was still the only person until recently to stop Zen, twice. He didn't look like himself this tournament, but is probably still a safe #2.
Zen has actually beat Daniel 3 times out of 4, and after his run of 19 wins out of 21 against the best in the world, I think he's a clear #3.
Daniel started off awful in this event but finished strong. That said, he still lost more series this event than anyone else and has recently lost 3 times to Zen. I did have him at #3 but I think despite a very close single goal win against Zen and a clapping against Rw9 he is a comfortable #4.
The biggest question is who the #5 is right now. Probably Trk or Yan but neither of them are overly active in 1s right now. Jack would be my next pick I think.
Mawkzy won Tournament D7 X The Node with 22-0 game, he did not lose a round. So 3/4 tournament won by Mawkzy.

People are sadly like this, they try to downplay everyone they are not a fan of. They aren't wise enough to realize that elevating your favorite player's opponents also elevates your favorite player as well. If he loses to someone who sucks, doesn't that mean he sucks too? If instead he wins against an incredibly gifted foe, he must be even more incredible. But that seems to be beyond the understanding of those people.

It's hard to say. Based on this tournament yes. Mawkzy does rly good against the top players but loses against smaller players.
Daniel struggled a lot in the last matches.
Zen and Rw9 are the most consistent and with the best record but they got 3rd and 4th in this tournament.
It's crazy because we kind of have a rock scissor paper with these 4 players now.
Like Johnny said in the video, you can't rate someone "the best" based on one tournament. Mawkzy is certainly the best player based on this tournament alone, but in order to rate a player more fairly and more accurately you take recent results into account as well. If Mawkzy goes on to beat Rw9 and Zen a few more times, and does not lose other games he would be supposed to win in the meantime, Johnny will no doubt adjust his assessment of him accordingly.
Fun fact when you say that people are allowed to type "allez" because we know what it means. I'd bet that 99% of french native speakers don't spell it correctly, because everyone thinks it should be spelled "aller"
