Yes age plays a role, your points depends on the number of years you have been contributing to NHT. The longer you are working the more points you would have. However when buying on the open market points do not matter, as such as does not matter I can personally attest to that.

Hi did you qualify for 7.5 for scheme unit purchase or for open market purchase? You may use a co-applicant to apply for a NHT scheme unit, but keep in mind only the person with the higher number of points will be considered for selection. If you choose to purchase on the open market, you will have access to both benefits. So you would get up to 15 million. Please remember this community is not being offered on the open market though.
