- these are so fun to make, and if you have little ones learning their way around a kitchen this no bake recipe is a great way to learn. I hope you enjoy the video, and try this recipe ☺️
ingredients:
3 cups 390 grams of peanuts (you choose what kind)
1-10oz 284 grams of peanut butter chips
3 Tbl 42 grams of butter
1-14oz can of condensed milk
2 cups 118 grams mini marshmallows
Glad you let us know about cooling times in the refrigerator. I'm cool with them being semi-rigid and somewhat bendable.
The batch I made in the video I let set for a whole day after I made them and even when they came back up to room temp they stayed firm.
Thank you for the recipe. Looks good.
You are most certainly welcome 😊❤️
In order to keep bars firm when OUT of refrigerator do this...........keep stirring at the end and use a candy Thermometer. Keep stirring on lower heat till thermometer reaches 275 degrees which is called "Soft Crack". At that point pour out as you normally do, smooth out and cover with the peanuts as you did making sure to push them in a lot. Cool on counter and then refrigerate for a couple of hours. Take them out and cut in sizes on cutting board. You won't have to store back in refrig and they will keep there nice shape just like the store bought Paydays......enjoy
@@rroe5718 that's awesome, thank you so much for sharing this. I will pin this to the top of the comments 😊❤️
Try parchment paper to save the pan from scratches
First, thank you for posting. I have found two improvements: First: spray your baking sheet with pam, then. use parchment paper to line it. (the parchment paper will stick to the pam and after it all sets in fridge or freezer you can pull it all out and cut it easily on the paper). Second: If you desire the bar to be firmer, incorporate one crushed Viagra tablet. (The little lady will especially appreciate the second tip). Cheers.
Those are all great improvements, especially the last one. Guaranteed to stiffen it right up 😂
Could a person use regular more healthy peanut butter instead of the little pieces?
@@Cecelia-n7d you could , you would have to add a little cornstarch to the peanut butter to help keep it stiff. The chips help hold it all together when it's chilled. They firm back up some.
Can you use peanut butter instead of the chips? If so, how much?
I'm not sure, only because I've never tried it. The only concern I would have would be the chips will stiffen back up after melting to give the candy bar some structure, where the peanut butter may not. You could try using the same amount, and maybe add some cornstarch like a teaspoon , to help stiffen up the peanut butter. Hope this helps a little with your question 😊.
Lol magnet on fridge…”eat my farts”
I realized that was in the background when someone commented on the kids artwork. Lol 😆
Wonder what honey roasted peanuts would taste like
I bet amazing ☺️
Appreciate you giving us a wonderful recipe that some of us had a children! The only thing was could you please go a little faster with your presentation? Don't mean any disrespect just love.
Thank you for the comment. My channel is about having conversations along with cooking and baking, I don't want to have a quick video channel. Thank you for being respectful ❤️
An awful lot of disapline to not lick that drop that fell on the stove …. Or the spoon ?
Some days my will power is better than others 😄
More cook, less gab.
@@joemomma1827 I did notice you don't talk as much in the videos you create, but I do appreciate you stopping by, and you definitely need a hug 😊❤️
@@mr.smithskitchen3224 The 2:20 gab session before the actual cooking video is what I found a bit annoying. The rest of the video content was fine. It's just my opinion and we all have them. My contribution is not making videos, as you so discovered, its watching them and making comments, if I am so inclined. Some are positive and some are negative. As for needing a hug from a strange man, no thank you! Homey don't play dat! 🤣🤣
@joemomma1827 i always appreciate a comment wether I agree with them or not, but the basis of my channel is conversation along with cooking or baking. I know I talk a fair amount, and that's probably never going to stop, it's my intro. I do really appreciate you stopping by though, that was a true and heartfelt statement, and the hug can be given by someone you know, not a stranger 😄, 😊❤️
@@mr.smithskitchen3224 Don't take the comment very seriously. It was intended to be funny, even though it was a criticism. The hug comment was also a bit of comedy, mixed with truth. If I wanted to be harsh, I would have said something about that tattered tee shirt. 🤣🤣
@joemomma1827 I don't take it seriously 😂, life's to short for all that, and nobody should get dressed up to be in the kitchen 😄
should melt chocolate overtop yum
@@kimberlyboenig6643 that would be Sooo good 😊❤️
@kimberlyboenig: Payday candy bars don't have chocolate on them. Wouldn't be copycat if he did that.
@maw-mawbecky3616 very true, but it does sound quite tasty 😊❤️
Ummmm
😢gooey but delicious
I found that the longer they sat in the fridge the firmer they got, they were very tasty, and gooey initially though.
Too much talking
That is the basis of this channel conversation, and cooking/baking, but thanks for stopping by 😊
Why can't you just use peanut butter vs peanut butter chips
I believe it's because of the oil in the peanut butter, it would remain soft, where the chips will firm back up when they cool 😊❤️
