    If Lucios skates are so loud you can hear it across the map louder than GUNFIRE...then VENTURE should make SOME noise when underground.

      The visual queue of the giant rock pile moving is more than enough for me at least. She never feels like she sneaks up on me.

    Clash is weird because you can never lose if you dont give up the center objective. The center objective is the only point that matters. The second objective is good to take because it gives you better repawns for the center objective. The last objective is basically pointless to attempt outside of stacking 5 ults. On the last objective, it is better to let them cap while you hold the choke in front of the second objective so you can get 2 fights for the second objective. Regardless of how the retake of second goes, you pawn right on center objective and usually with an ult advantage and just retake for free. Cap first point and play smart and you can't lose clash

      @Anxietylazer I know, but it's not worthing doing because their spawn is so close. Unless you can get a teamkill, you are just wasting resources.

      On a real note, even as a kiri main, suzu being so disproportionately powerful makes her less fun to play, bc there are so many situations where you gotta use the everything ball that 80% of them are gonna happen while its on cooldown. Suzu in its current state is unfun for everyone else and stressful for us.(remove the immo and reduce the cooldown pls bliz)

    People want OW to be their perfect version of OW too much
    It's not perfect by anymeans, but man, some people can be delusional when it comes to talking about it-no enemies should not just be cosmetic punching bags for you, no you shouldn't expect them to just stand still and die for you, and no you shouldn't be able to answer everything. I get it, OW's core idea of counterwatch does not help anyone, but people just want too much at times

    One of the main issues I have with Venture is how high up it reaches (Going to be using Bap's Lamp as an example).
    I can understand it from the perspective of counterplay, but I don't think 1 Blast from Venture's Ult should take it out. Currently, you still take damage from the first blast, making your minimum health at 20, but Venture has 390 more damage as follow up with the lamp destroyed. It kind of just feels like a delete button against the other team at the moment.
    I could just say that Venutre's Ult Height AOE should be decreased a bit. but then it makes Bap's Lamp just a counter to Venture's entire Ult, which is just as bad.
    The main solution I can think of here is having Venture's Ult do less damage depending on which part of it you are hit by (Ex: You take 130 on the Ground and 65 when you're 1m+ off the ground). This means it'd take 2 shots to destroy Bap's Lamp now, and give your Teammates a few additional seconds to react instead of just falling over immediately (This also makes the strategy of standing on a small ledge a slightly better option in general lol).

    I'll say this on 6v6, you can't say you don't trust the team to balance the game, and also think simply changing the format will fix all the problems.

      Changing the format will fix the problems with tanking currently though. I don’t have to speculate we had 3 years of 6v6 role Que and the format had no issues besides Que times, and bad metas, which could have been fixed. 5v5 has inherent problems since the format forces a solo tank.

      5v5 can’t be balanced. 6v6 can easily. It’s a format issue. The tank playstyle will never work in 5v5

      People say 6v6 is easier to balance but, man. If it was easier to balance they wouldn't have immediately ruined the October 2020 patch and insisted it sucked.

      TH-camrs already tested it and tanks like junkerqueen is too op in a 6v6 settings, so no it will not fix the problem. Most heros would need a rework

      @@suffishes1454 The game had plenty of issues on 6v6. For 1, those bad metas and balances were much harder to fix and swung wildly. I think this current meta is actually very close to as balanced as the game has ever been. Given that tank is a tougher role right now wouldn’t easily be fixed with 2 tanks. (Even with values adjusted) The largest problem with tanking right now is they can be blown up so easily, which is being worked on in the next patch.
      Adding 1 extra person to peel, 1 extra health pool, 1 extra set of abilities on the field to watch for would make it that much more difficult to balance the game around.

    As a support player: Venture shouldnt get nerfed because people doesnt know what "turn around " means. If i notice that my team suffer the disease of extreme tunnel vision i will just make sure im positioned as close as possible to the tank or a dps so i can run circles around them lol.

      I've gotten to a point where I noticed footstep behind me so I mark to tell the team someone flanked us. I think the problem is a lot if people don't play with headphones to hear footsteps.

      ​@@Adventist9917Im very sensitive to footsteps now so I can always tell whats flanking. Even a venture so I've never been caught with my pants down against them. What really makes Venture better is when they just stop flanking and force attention instead. Imagine reaper having a 15m range shot and pokes from an off angle with a 4s wraith that cannot be stopped most of the time lmao. Thats what I've been doing. Only doing the dig into dash combo when I know my team is moving in. Forced aoe on all the enemies who didnt run in time, and we can collapse on one fast. Stealing high ground from the dps and supports before they get there, making it hard for me to pressure them is also one thing venture is great at.

    As a Diamond Ram player, Ramattra is indeed never in my games. I’ve been tracking and he’s the least played tank, very closely followed by Queen. Orisa is seen almost 10 times more than these two. (This was also before the orisa change)

      Ye as a hard ramattra main I've stopped playing him mostly because he just gets cc dumped every time I pop nemesis form or ult and mauga crits him through block :(

    Here’s a hot take:
    It’s ok to have healbot supports in the game. You don’t need every support to be damage heavy. Sometimes it’s fun to sit back, relax, and save your team from their stupidity, while letting them do the work. You are still supporting, but just in a more fun and creative way.

    I think a lot of the people struggling against Venture are lower-rated players in quickplay lobbies with significantly higher-rated Venture players. I remember getting absolutely bodied as support in quickplay, but in comp games, against people of my own rank, Venture feels like a fair challenge.

    I think the main issue with Venture is that they can approach you from an invulnerable state, and almost guarantee they will hit you for free damage when they pop out, then have a get-out-of-jail-free card in the form of their movement ability + passive overhealth. You just play disruption like ball, build your ult, and punish the enemy team for both playing defensively (by building your ult faster), and punish the enemy team for pushing (by ulting them). The main issue with Venture is a combination of how often they can use their abilities, and how often their abilities get value, and how often Venture's value goes unpunished in return. Venture practically doesn't have anything to fear from nearly every other character in the game, so there is no threats to keep Venture is check. They are largely free value.

    My problems with Clash:
    1. Packs?
    2. Personally, scoring. Defender second spawn +1, capping mid +2, attack second spawn +3. First to 7. If you cap the attacker spawn you obviously should just win. If you defend your spawn… Who cares.

    In 6v6 there needs to be 2 tank roles - defensive tank role and attacking tank role - basically how dps had 2 roles in OG OW1 with defensive heroes like Bastion, Symmetra & Junkrat.
    Defensive tanks - Reinhardt, Sigma, Winston, DVA
    Attacking tanks - Roadhog, Junker queen, Doomfist etc

    Clash is the most "You can pop off and win the game for your entire team with one play" of any of the modes in Overwatch. For some people, that's a massive positive as it allows for individuals to have a massive impact on the match, for some people they hate the entire game swinging based off one player making a really good impact as it makes playing with your team less impactful. Different strokes for different folks. I personally like it, i just hate how short it can be. I'm someone who greatly enjoys adapating to opponents play style as I play and don't like counter switching, but Clash makes encounters much shorter and heavily encourages counter switching because of that

    3:21 - I think this guy didn't take into consider this is barely a "Roll", but I wouldn't mind seeing the spawn for defender being pushed back just a little bit. I'm assuming their take is that B Team in the below example is basically handed 3 FREE Wins. So they only have to win a single time the Semi Advantage of Midpoint B and "Center" but your team "Rolling" had to win "Center" twice and maintain the B Side Advantage midpoint. So there was a significant advantage for B team despite the efforts put in by A Team.
    However if you truly believe there's a disadvantage to this then why not let your team get rolled two rounds and then get your free 3 wins. But keep in mind fail to win the next two points and it's GG just as their team had this risk. So what this really ends up being is Team A actually had 2 chances to win and if they truly felt Midpoint B was unwinnable they needed to give it up not feeding/trickling into Midpoint B and thus not being ready for Center. The same applies with them knowing that B Spawn was "Unwinnable" and instead of feeding into this spot give it up and be ready to get a kill/stagger for Midpoint B defense.

      Just to clarify, I've played multiple games where "team A" is pushed back to their spawn twice (which is basically a free point for them) they then come back to the next point with ults and "team B" is staggered because they had to extend so far to try and cap the spawn point. It will then go back to the middle where it is an even playing field again and the same thing will happen again where "team A" is pushed back to their spawn. The game will then end with both teams fighting over the middle point despite "team B" being way more dominant and "team A" winning without ever attacking the enemy side of the map.
      It would be like winning a football, basketball or hockey game without ever setting foot on the opponent's side of the field, it just doesn't make sense.

    Here’s my hot take (which I know is highly specific to my own game experience, pls don’t be mean):
    as a support main, I wish all of the supports were less good 😅
    I started at the beginning of overwatch 1, and the damage creep on the support role is massive. I would genuinely prefer all the supports to be weaker damage wise so that there was less pressure to be fighting the enemy (rather than providing healing/utility).
    I originally started playing overwatch BECAUSE I was not expected to kill people on support - it was a great way to ease in to playing an online multiplayer shooter type game, which at the time I did not really play. I liked being able to be helpful to my team, and I have pretty bad aim (imagine gold console aim) so as more aim focused supports come out and absolutely dominate the healing game (especially compared to mercy, who used to be THE healer - she had the highest healing per second output of any support at launch) it becomes more difficult for me to keep up. When those heroes can also do crazy damage numbers, it makes things even harder for me 😭
    It makes me a bit sad to realize that if the first version of overwatch that I had tried to play was the current one, back when I was really not confident in multiplayer shooter games, and when I would not have been able to give ANY value to my team if I had tried to be shooting enemies (because as bad at aiming as I consider myself now, i genuinely was terrible back when I first started) I would probably have put it down and never picked it up again. It makes me think about all of the cool people who are not a part of our community because they tried to play the game, realized they couldn’t get any value without developing an entirely new skillset (as a lot of people play games that don’t involve aim at all), and then just. Put the game down forever.
    To be clear, these days I do play supports other than mercy (unfortunately she is quite bad atm compared to other supports), but I just know that I am never going to be able to provide value in the same way (even completely ignoring mass rez which was totally broken), as my game sense and positioning can only take me so far when I just can’t hit so many of my shots.
    Additionally, shooting at the enemy is just not what I want to be doing when I play support, at least 80% of the time. If I want to kill things, I go queue for dps! It seems weird to me that there is such a focus on supports being able to kill directly, when that is not meant to be the main focus of their role, in my eyes. Illari is a great example of this to me - at least 80% of the time, she is focused on shooting enemies while her turret does the healing. Like it just doesn’t make sense to me as someone who’s favorite part of being support is like. Being an active part of supporting the team.
    Ultimately, I think blizzard and I just disagree on what the point of having a support role actually is, and I just have to live with it 😭

      God I hope this never happens. No role should be "weak", It'd be completely unfun to be stuck being hard targetted while also being unable to defend yourself properly. I think this is where the disconnect happens in others minds bc they want a weak HEALER not someone that is actively SUPPORTING in every way they can, a healer will baby sit the team, not fight, sit there just throwing hp etc. You don't have to play characters like illari at all and can just stick to mercy or even life weaver. As an illari main I'm still doing a huge amount of healing in addition to adding pressure with damage, I hope you do get a character that satisfies your needs, but we shouldn't be sitting ducks unable to make plays or have an equal playing field with dps who literally DO more damage.

    My hot take/ramble is. With the 5v5 vs 6v6 debate I really hate the reasoning of "no one played tank" because to me that just means the dev team were so incompetent of making tanking fun that they basically said "Since we can't do our jobs correctly let's just punish the off-tank players by deleting that role and force all tank players to relearn the whole game" So they went down that road only to then make tanking worse in 5v5. Sick of people giving devs excuses and saying the little crumbs they give tanks are enough. Tanking hasn't been totally fun since ow2 came out and idc if u say oh tanking was fun for this season and then this season. Tank players shouldn't have to go months between fun tank seasons. It's not fair that tank players have to keep guessing when they can have fun again then worry that it will only last a few weeks. I want 6v6 back not because I think it's better but because in OW1 I didn't go a Dat without wanting to least play a few tank games but now I could go days or even a week without playing. 6v6 I knew I could at least deal with bad tank metas and have a little bit of fun but in 5v5 Im slowly losing my desire to play and that sucks because ive loved OW since 2016. The only reason I havent completely given up on OW is because there isnt another game like this and the potential to be amazing again is there. So i will keep hope for a better game just just it comes before my passion for the game fades.

      That or you live but their team is unkillable so they kill your DPs, then your support, then you... Feeling like you can't do anything to help your DPs then being defenseless against their entire team.

    My problem with Venture as an Ana player is not that I can't hear them. I usually know they're coming. Even if I see them and am ready to defend myself, I will usually still get clapped. I can't hit venture with literally anything until they pop out of the ground, but when they do so, I take damage, get knocked into the air (disrupting my aim), and they end up above me (which can be difficult to aim at). Trying to hit a sleep dart in that situation is very difficult, but it's the only thing I can do to survive that dive. At least with tracer it requires skill on their part to dodge the sleep, and they aren't literally invincible prior to being on top of me.
    Regarding the 5v5 vs 6v6 discussion--queue times are certainly the most compelling argument against 6v6, but then I think a major part of why queue times were so bad is in part not because no one inherently wanted to play tank, but because tank wasn't balanced properly against the other roles. They abandoned overwatch 1 after echo came out, only doing the occasional balance (most of which was laughable at best), so all the problems they could have fixed were just left as-is for years. Certainly, even when things were going well, the tank role was usually the least popular, but the same team that couldn't figure out how to fix that within the 6v6 format also couldn't figure out why brig was a problem. What I'm saying is, even for as popular as overwatch was early on, it was never balanced well (except for one patch that lasted 2 weeks), and then on top of that, it was abandoned entirely for 3 years. The current balance team has proven repeatedly that they won't let the meta stagnate for more than a month or two, often breaking bad metas within a couple weeks. I believe the current balance team could absolutely balance 6v6 to at least 90% of what would "solve" all the concerns with the format. Also something to consider is all the people that don't play tank anymore (like myself) because there is no off-tank option. I'm not interested in having all that pressure on me, so I really don't enjoy tanking in 5v5.
    All that said, I doubt they'll revert to 6v6 any time soon. They seem convinced that we're better off staying 5v5, regardless of whether it truly is better or not.

    For Clash, capturing a point on the other team's side should be worth two points and capturing a point on your own side and the neutral point should be worth one point. Increase the total score to seven points or whatever would make a long enough match. For the last point, the defending team should have longer spawn time like overtime for balance because there's not much incentive to capture it for the attacking team.

    Hot take: I actually think it's usually a bad sign when Mercy is D-tier/F-tier OR when she's S-tier/S+-tier. When mercy's just viable it means that the tank can survive with one support primarily focused on them while Mercy attends primarily to the DPS and, more importantly, it means supports aren't expected to be outputting tons of damage OR lots of burst healing/immortality abilities to combat all the burst damage coming in towards tanks.
    But I also think the game is in a bad state when any support, including and maybe especially Mercy, is a must-pick. Sojourn meta was horrible (and Sojourn STILL has an overtuned kit which is a whole separate issue) but generally Mercy being hard meta is indicative of a DPS hero being overpowered (like Ashe briefly in OW1, Sojourn in OW2 early seasons). Whereas Mercy being bad right now is a sign that support generally has problems with its role-identity or requirements, because high-damage supports with immortality abilities have been consistently problematic in 5v5

    I would love to be able to chose between 5v5 and 6v6. maybe not on comp but like as an arcade option or even qp. This is because there are days where I want to play but not be as important to the team, in 5v5 I am 20% of the team so if I really suck then the teams suffers a lot more then in 6v6 where I would only be 16.5% of the team reducing the impact I have.

      I could see arcade, but not Quickplay. There is no way they are going to balance both 5v5 and 6v6 at the same time.

    If venture is what people are whining about as supports. Imagine what the tank felt when the entire cast of support gives them a middle finger for playing right. But kiri suzu is still busted. Oh because you cant punish everyone now with 1 ability as a support suzu is worthless? Rly? Not like she can nulify literally any damage dealing ult in the game. Dva bomb, shatter, genji blade, death blossom, all of the damage abilities get cucked but because you have to THINK about what u use ur cooldown on its worthless? Ana sleep has to be used to save herself and punish flankers, thats nice, but its technically a 5 second stun (3 for tanks)....on a healer, and shes labeled good. But now that kiri cant just solo everything she has a worthless ability? Cmon man

    Playing tank isn’t just a struggle it’s completely unfun. You can barely do much of anything and you then get blamed and told “tank please do something” in most of your games. Not to mention you can hold out and not die until the last couple minutes and all of a sudden the enemy can just push point. It’s so miserable I’m debating just cutting my losses and going full cold turkey. I’ve already dropped the game and returned multiple time, I think the next one will be permanent because this is just awful

    edit: that take about not giving defending team a point for taking the last objective actually sounds good. i agree with only not giving the team a point for that last objective because it feels wayyyy easier to take it back than the others, it's essentially a free point as it is right now

    i have a hot take for some Mirror watch changes: 1. Brig should pull enemies not push bcs if u push someone and not kill then the person is out of ur range, 2. rein should have this boost to speed after shield breaks or has low hp, 3. doom and shield is a interesting idea, but not widow with shield, 4. life steal and fury are interesting ideas and they were a reword (mostly) for playing good and for life steal, using it in the right moment not just spam it.

    Blizzard should allow us to customize the teammate death sounds so that the sound when a support dies can be different than a DPS. I game on an ultrawide so the death feed is not in my peripheral vision. As a tank that is hard engaging, knowing that support dies via sound gives me a quick indication that i need to play a bit safer until my support rejoins the fight.

    I do really like clash, one of the few modes i really enjoyed and because of the pacing of it and cuz you dont HAVE to take the final point and can just capture 5 so it doesn't drag out too long

    I agree that in clash you shouldn't get a point for defending the last point it's supposed to be the easiest for that team to defend/capture and then usually ends with them having more time to set up on the next point and push it back to the mid point again but this time with it tied 2-2 leaving the game feeling like the first push/ fight was pointless, and overall I just feel like clash has very little retake once one team caps a point

    I definitely dont mind a venture nerf in how sneaky they can be. Because dealing with venture as support outside of Ana and Zen is incredibly easy. Mobility/escape skills exist for all of them. But most of the time you get caught because they came out from the middle of nowhere or burst behind you.
    In case anyone need any idea on how to deal with Venture as a support.
    Ana - You need god tier aim, shoot > sleep > nade *yourself and them* > shoot again. But only save the sleep + nadefor when they commit on you
    Brig - Ironically you cannot do much to them, only in reaction to what venture does. Ideally shield the charged launch venture does, boop venture away and shield bash to safety is all you can do. Might be able to duel venture if you have ult.
    Lucio - just wallride away lol and boop venture away everytime they jump in with dash.
    Zen - Literally same logic as Ana, but land your headshots and save discord for when Venture pops out of the ground. Why? You force them to leave or commit and if you have good aim they still risk dying running out.
    Baptiste - Jump before they do, stay on high ground with jump, the usual immo field shit, save shift for when they pop it/you're low when dueling venture
    Illari - a worse bap in being safe, but some maps allow for pylon positions where Venture literally cannot hit it
    Mercy - AC130 INBOUND
    Moira - fade then succ
    Kiriko - similar to zen and ana, land your shots, but more emphasis on it and has 2 free bailout buttons.
    Other than all these tips, playing on high ground is what forces venture to take the really long flank. Much like tracer, they cannot get much verticality with their main mobility. But unlike tracer, venture is on a 4s cd. Being on highgrounds not only forces them to take an obvious route most of the time, it forces them to also waste time to get to you that a tracer/genji could've done much much faster.
    Im no support god, but these are generally what I've seen really skilled players do in response to a venture. Not dueling them when their kit doesn't allow for it, using tools to escape or their ability to duel them when they can.

    The reason you aren’t climbing is simply because you don’t play enough. Hear me out…
    Players like Emongg and Flats play hundreds of games in a season while most people play significantly less.
    I recall in season 9 KarQ went on like a 20 (or something in that ballpark) game losing streak and dropped to Diamond for the first time in like forever but because he was able to play so many more games, he was able to recover.
    Now if the average player only plays around a hundred games of ranked in a season, that losing streak seems detrimental seeing as it’s 20% of their season career while for someone who plays 500 or 600 games it’s significantly less impactful because they have way more time to counteract it with win streaks. This is especially true after enough time passes after placement matches and everyone’s ranks start to reflect more accurately.

    My biggest issue right now is inconsistent sound in general. Yesterday I played a game on Junkertown last point. We’d just won a team fight so I’m waiting in a forward position listening for footsteps. I have great headphones and a csgo background for context. I hear nothing as an Ana, soldier, and junkrat round the corner on me. Not a single footstep

    6v6 v 5v5 is a tough thing to talk about. I feel as though the best way to do is is to have 2 modes for 6v6 and 5v5. That way people can play the way they want without having to worry about one side being disheartened. Though Balancing will be a nightmare

    semi-old video but i love wide queue, i don't like the atmosphere of ranked games but bc of wide queue, i'm able to play with a full group of friends. we lose a lot but we all get to have fun! i love being able to do this. lots of times in ow1 i just couldnt queue with friends like this, especially on my preferred role

    I have no opinions on Clash other than that it's a fun gamemode. Imo it's too soon to say the gamemode is flawed because we've only seen it on Hanaoke. A lot of issues could just be with that particular map's design.
    As a tank player I called for Venture nerfs because their one shot combo was too easy to pull off in a game where one shots and one shot combos are supposed to be harder to pull off (lol). They were constantly able to tap Ana (for example) for very little personal risk. I'm a long time Ana defender so I sympathise with those of the supports who think that's a bit bs. The rest of the supports are mostly able to defend themselves but Ana, Mercy or a support with no cooldowns is just free ult charge/ a free pick for Venture. If the nerfs make it harder to pull off that combo as easily then I'm all for it.
    I'm not getting into tank issues. I've done it on many other vids lmao. We'll see how it goes when midseason patch drops.

    That support nicholas sparks novel is whats wrong with overwatch 2 and I really cant blame support players. Introducing abilities like immo and suzu has taught support players that they should be able to press a button and immediately deny any and every play the enemy team makes. Dont hate support players, hate blizzard for teaching them that positioning and counter play is irrelevant

      I think it's more the community playing in a disorganized way. We can take this back to early OW when Mercy had mass rez. Say what you want about its balance, but I think it's bad game play if you're late game, and you dump 4 ults for a team fight without seeing the Mercy. So with immo and Suzu, it just seems like the community at large hasn't learned the idea of resource juggling. Like if I'm flanking a Bap and he uses Lamp, that's good imo because now for the next 20 seconds (?) he doesn't have it, and we can play differently. Same for suzu, but I'd argue the problem with that is more in tandem with her whole kit, teleport and dueling capability etc. Personally, i think if they changed the mechanic to it either cleanses OR heals, it would feel a little nicer. As far as the immo burst on Suzu, I think it needs to be in there for like, network and DoT reasons, and it's fun to time something right...but they gotta change something

    My hot take is that Zarya needs to be more clear on how they work. All inexperienced people see is "this is a shield, i will destroy it so they arent immune" and it feeds zarya and she can mindlessly sweep
    Perhaps like a shoutout whenever she receives damage through bubble to let people know shes charged, or some other visual indicator
    The amount of people i run into in QP do not know how zarya works and then i tell them how it works, and then they suddenly understand it
    Also with Comp queues, why not do a splatoon and make a second ranked queue time strictly for teams?

    Trust me in the middle ranks the issue isn't people not shooting the bubbles for Zarya. They shoot those immediately and Zarya will almost always have 60 plus charge at the beginning of the fight. That's why they said that Zarya is dominating the middle ranks. So many players have no idea how to play against Zarya.

    Can we talk about Zenny? I just noticed this right now, and every support has some sort of AOE to them and Zenny is left out? Lucio, Brigitte, Baptiste, Moira, Illari, Kiriko, Ana, even Mercy's ultimate. Aside from Zenny's ultimate, I feel as though my healing is lacking with burst healing or the kit not comparing to other supports?
    [Don't care about survivability or damage, I just want to heal my team mates as well as Baptiste or Moira.]

      zen's kit is not geared toward healing; if you want to be doing more healing, swap heroes. his benefit comes from discord, which in terms of total team health pool, balances the need for burst healing on his own team by reducing the overall hp of the enemy team, thus making them have to play more cautiously.
      tbc, this is not to say zen shouldn't get some tuning or even a complete rework; im just saying zen is NOT a healer, he is a support, and his support comes from damage/dmg boost.

      @@sloth-d3752 that's not exactly what i meant... and again, i did acknowledge that he should get some tuning or even a full rework. what i was saying is merely that, with his current kit, his value comes from damage and the boost of damage to discord targets, not from healing. that said, he can actually get surprisingly good healing numbers, so long as his team is playing around cover and he has harmony on the right allies, so don't discount his healing entirely just bc he doesn't have a burst heal like bap or massive healing throughput like moira.

      @@Battleress2yea, no. Zen and Ana could both use a movement ability, but a good zen should be discording any immediate threats and comming to the team to burst down the discord target. His harmony orb is meant to support his own squishies, discord is meant to protect with offense.
      He’s arguably one of the most well equipped supports for this 5v5 format.

    At this point i dont think the argument about Queue times for 6v6 is that valid anymore because widegroups increase your queue times by a lot anyway and if you widegroup with friend its really likely that there would be tank duos because wide groups make it more possible across every rank

    for the getting rolled in clash opinion, i wanna suggest this; when clash gets implemented and hanaoka is in the game, what if defending the final objective and winning it doesn't grant you a point but ONLY in comp? in qp it still would, considering qp its casual (((USUALLY))), but in comp it wouldn't give you a point, just a moment to regroup and breathe if the defending team wins it.
    personally i still believe capturing the objective should grant you a point no matter what and genuinely i don't know if the ow team would do differences in gamemodes like that, but for the people who think the comeback mechanics of it can get annoying very quickly, there would be that distinction of comp and qp for that gamemode.

    Here’s my counter argument for que time not being a valid reason for OW2:
    blizzard developers say Que times are the main reason to justify 5v5 after the cancellation of PvE, well I say this is blizzard gaslighting at its finest. The only reason changing the format to 5v5 was not Que times but bc blizzard are to afraid to admit they couldn’t balance the double shield problem in ow1 there therefore lead to the creation of ow2. In addition, there are several balances issues currently in the game specifically the “nobody likes playing tank” problem, many fans casually and comp players have stopped playing ow2 bc no one like getting steamrolled in every match due to the poor matchmaking compensating your rank with worse players. What I’m ultimately saying is, if the game is bad and fans start dropping ow2 in favour for better games don’t be surprised why everyone struggles to find games even with one less tank.

    My opinion on Clash is actually that the point system *isn't* very well thought out as it is, the fact that you can basically stalemate in the middle points and never reach the enemy first point makes for a game where teams are playing really boring and conservative and just trading middles until one team either takes an extra point and secures a win or just trades until first to take mid wins. IMO it should be a back and forth push and pull style point system where you take until you get enemy first point *or* the the team currently taking the most points at timeout wins with each recap taking away a point.

      @AllistorRichards Well, there's a difference between how fast the game plays and how fast the games are. I like the speed they are now. If they took longer, people would probably gravitate to the faster game modes. I don't think a majority has any problem with the speed of the game mode but the point system in general. And honestly, nor should it be easy to get to the enemies last point, which you can't help if you're in a steam roll, but other than that, it should be harder.

    Yeah, I personally do not agree about the defending team not getting a point for keeping the enemy team from winning the game on the last point. That's basically saying congrats on keeping the enemy team from stomping you and getting an easy win while also no reward. You'd be better off just letting them take the point, end the game, and move on to another one. I personally don't see why people have this mentality of punishing teams for keeping the enemy at bay, when, especially in competitive, you get punished even more for losing, even against steam rolls. So no, I think the point system is just fine~

      Just replace open Q with 6vs6 since open queue is such a shitshow anyways. It also wouldn’t split the player base as much as it would have if it was another queue.

    I can't play ranked anymore at all because of wide queue
    I can queue with my friends and wait 20+ minutes cause it's wide or I can play alone and wait 15+ minutes cause I'm bronze 4 so I just don't do ranked anymore. Me and a friend I don't think should ever be considered wide it's two people and if you have two people it means at least one is high rank and willing to put their rank on the line for you.

      @@Nebby_smells the thing is, his rocket hammer in overwatch 1 was much better, with such huge damamge that hammer down could kill supports, stun dps and tanks leaving the dps nearly dead. Also i beleive in over watch one for who knows how much time, his sheild could generate ult charge either for himself or the enemy, i forget which and for how long.

    Clash is a cool idea but the gamemode is very unbalanced. Lets say u roll the enemy and win first 2 points, point 3 is basically impossible to capture (cus it makes u win if u cap it) so the enemy just gets a point for free, so now the score is 2-1. Since ur team is better they win when the spawnpoints arent unbalanced, so now ur team captures that 2nd point again, but because 3rd is so hard to cap its now 3-2, and then it happens again and the score is 4-3. So the enemy only has 1 point bellow you, despite being rolled for the entire game.

    I think it was BS to improve every role but tank in that one patch.
    Dos gets self heal, AND their damage reduces enemy healing.
    Healers all get self heal, and it kicks in sooner!
    Tanks get a self heal.
    At the same rate as characters that have 1/3-1/4th their health pool.
    If they didn’t get a larger HPS, and their weapons don’t stunt enemy team members, then this was a collective nerf to tanks.
    At least give them reduced CC/snare time. Make them a sponge for abilities. You know.

    I think the people complaining about Venture probably never played against ow1 Doomfist. 😆 To me, Venture is very telegraphed compared to a guy falling from the sky, and then punching you to death in no time.

    the dps passive is just too much at 20% everyone gets shredded and it feels like you have to constantly play deep cover without a shield tank

    i think 5v5 and 6v6 is too different and honestly
    i dont see replacing 5v5 healthy cause me personally i hated 6v6 if it were to come back and they removed 5v5 id drop overwatch all together
    its unbelieveably unfun imo i just dont enjoy it and i never really did
    if they add 6v6 it should be its own gamemode on the side so people who enjoy 5v5 can still queue for 5v5

    Here's my hot take:
    Tank isn't fun because of hero design, not because of hero balance. Pretty much every hero that has been released has in some way been designed to prevent play making. Since there is only one tank in overwatch 2, the entire role has devolved into being afraid of everything/waiting for cooldowns instead of using their own cooldowns to make things happen. Most heros released after the original roster have had something to prevent things from happening but not a lot of heros have been released with abilities to enable things to happen. The couple i can think of are nano, and rush. Everything else is able to make plays on their own which is mostly support and dps. I dont think 6v6 is the answer. More options like speed boost, nano and rush and less anti, dps passive, hack and cc in future hero design is the answer.

    If 6v6 comes back, tank has to be separated into 1 main and 1 off tanks. Main tanks have shields and off tanks have hp in between tank and dps (~450hp) essentially beefier dps

      Exactly. The Tanks need a DPS Tank and Defensive Tank Role (shields). Its like how OG OW 1 had attacking dps and defensive dps (mei, junkrat, sym etc).
      All it needs is that to happen then two tanks with double shields stops being an issue.
