On this week’s Stumped, our very own Charu Sharma flies out to Mumbai to visit some of the game’s biggest stars as the inaugural Women’s Premier League reaches its finale.
Australia captain Meg Lanning has just led the Delhi Capitals to the first ever WPL final and tells us that the competition is “on another level” to anything else she’s experienced and discusses her five-month break from sport in which she worked in a café.
Plus, Alison Mitchell and Jim Maxwell bring their perspective of the competition as seen around the world.

Womens cricket is a blunder.let us think if women cricket is on the the men cricket place and men's cricket need support then they didn't support men's cricket.
They also doesn't share womens cricket revenue with men's cricket, Everyone knows 95% or above revenue comes from men's cricket and bcci share it with women cricket and they want equal wages but don't give equal contribution.
So, we can't support them because this is not win of cricket but this is win of feminist among the globe.
Men cricket is original and real cricket.

Yeah..Meg is right. Every WPL fan deserves home match in their city. Why BCCI chose only Mumbai?..At least they should organize in 2 or 3 cities for now. It is getting popular day by day. Mumbai lobby and their fixed winning could ruin this beautiful competition altogether. Young women cricketers look forward to this league.

The Indian middle and working class play ridiculously high prices for IPL and Intl matches .How convenient of Charu Sharma to skip that fact .Why shouldnt the tickets be subsidized massively ? Cricket is for all ,not just for the elite

the domestic womens game has never had support, coverage or any kind of push from various fronts and Charu himself hasnt covered the scene here...so to hear him talk about the domestic players is very disappointing! They need this sort of platform to start performing and that is why the WPL is vital! Despite all of this every team has picked up domestic players with some great potential and hopefully when we have more teams and a longer season, that talent will be there for all the world to see!

But their impact can't be compared with oversees players.
Also the Ind fielding has been appalling, & you seen un-athletic fielders giving off boundaries.

All overseas batters and experienced indian batter in top 5 position hence they are all in top ranking charts. And for the bowlers we see more all rounders in women cricket and all of them are picked in WPL. Hence the disparity between domestic uncapped players and internation stars. Skill levels will definitely going to improve in gour girls

I am an Indian and i think Australia is going to win at least 3 more world cups .England may win 1 . I dont see India winning the WC for atleast 5 yrs
The current coaching staff of the Indian national women's team is RIDICILOUSLY BAD. . Unless there is a massive overhaul of the coaching staff,India is NOT going to win WC's .There is ZERO focus on developing a pool of fast bowlers who can bowl fast ,nail Yorkers and bouncers .We dont even have pace bowling all rounders .Oz has two
