Congratulations on having the power to quit. I’ll be 38 this month and have been smoking since I was 14. It’s not easy to quit a habit that literally coincides with other habits. ✌️😎
Good job. Good luck. I wish you the best. I was a little worried with the thumb nail and head line for the video, but I'm glad it's good Quitting. I understand it's going to hard but i know you'll succeed and be happier. 👍👍👍
I figured the thumbnail would be a little much, but it needed attention as it's been something I've been struggling with for a bit. I know I lost a few subs because of it, but that's okay. I know in the long run it'll be better for me! Thanks so much ryu!
@@TheReturnersHideout that's awesome man! I'm gonna try again when I run out I gotta lose weight too but already been in the gym. Gotta live to see this kid grow up
I had just found your channel today, and well...I'm proud of you man. My grandmother and my great grandmother were smokers, and unfortunately they didn't stop until it reached a point where the damage was done, and they had to live on oxygen for the rest of their life's from my early teens until a year or two ago. It got them to finally go cold turkey, but there are times I wished they had just quit sooner. I'm not here looking for pity, nor do I want it. What I want to stress is how impactful your decision to quit actually quit can end up being. Don't ever give up on that fight to quit lad, do it for the ones you care about and for yourself.
I never did it, but my dad did and he quit a few years ago to greatly improve his life for my kids and stay alive for them. It's hard dude, and I sincerely hope you go through with it fully. I'd even like to offer something small to help. If you ever light one up, reply to this comment. Just a number. 1 the first time, 2 the second, so on. The motivation to not need to do that could go a long way. We'll all be proud of you, and we already are for this first step. Much love, brother. I hope not to hear from you, at least not here 🤞🏼
IDK if a random interweb comment will help, BUT as a quitter myself...I PROMISE you after one month you wont even miss them. I've tried randomly again, they always disgust me now. After one week, you'll really not care anymore. But one month in and i swear youll never understood why you kept it! GOOD LUCK & YOU GOT THIS!!@!@!@ btw, LOVE your content and channel lol.
Good on you, man! I smoked for 20+ years before I quit. I had to use the patch for a week and didn't touch any alcohol for over a month since the two go hand in hand. Next month makes it ten years for me. Can't wait to hear your ten year celebration!
I just found your channel a few days ago and it's quickly become one of my favorites. I wanted to comment and give you props for your life-changing decision. You just one-shot Kefka...for the win.
Welcome aboard! Thank you for the amazingly kind words! I'll keep moving forward and doing what I have to do. Now if I can just get rid of these pesky cravings, I'd be just fine haha
Good for you and good luck with it. It's nice to see people standing up to their addictions as it is not an easy thing to do. I quit a few years back and will be damn sure I don't fall back into the trap.
Good luck to you. I smoked on and off from the ages of 18-30 and when I finally quit that last time I've managed to stick to it for the last 8 years now. I'm never even smoking one again, it's just so damn addictive and difficult to quit. The first week is hell but it gets much easier.
My dad quit for 22 years after he married my mom, only to pick back up after the divorce. I'm 41 now, my dad passed 6 years ago from Lung Cancer. He was only 65. I've seen a few of my own friends from high school succumb to lung cancer, specifically lung cancers caused by smoking tobacco. One of them didn't even make it to his 25th birthday. Yes, I want this to scare anyone who smokes. Nothing good comes from smoking tobacco. Anyways, good luck on your journey man, and be hard on your doctor to test religiously. The earlier you can catch it, if you get it, the more likely recover can happen. Also, may want to keep a watch for COPD, I've seen a handful of people taken by that as well.
I'm so sorry to hear that my friend! And yes, it IS super scary to really think about. Honestly, about a year ago I got my lungs checked and everything sounded and looked "perfect"! My dad (who is 68) and I both are quitting currently and I know it's a good idea, despite all the weird things I'm feeling while getting this nicotine out of my body! Thanks so much!

I'm on year four since quitting cigarettes/tobacco. It was definitely very hard, but I'm not going back now. What worked for me was simply dismantling the social cues associated with smoking. If you're used to smoking while playing video games, you may find it hard to quit for that very reason. I wish you luck and definitely want anyone who wants to quit to succeed.
It took two tries, but I've successfully quit smokes for years now. Alcohol was easier to give up, but its the same thing: one day at a time. Get through the first two weeks and it gets better.
Dude, You'll replace that need with so many much more worthwhile things! I'm proud of you, keep it up. I quit 6 years ago, when my daughter was born, it's hard until all the sudden it's easy. 👏

Quitting can definitely be difficult. I don't know if this is relevant for you, but for me, I just kept thinking about how much less life insurance would cost me lol.
