This is why it should be legal to defend yourself from police brutality. But in reality you get shot because they have the power to escalate the situation and use a greater degree of force than you. They are gonna have to shoot me cause if they’re are gonna start breaking me instead of arresting me I’m gonna get a hell of lot more resistant.

Yea it happens from crack jobs who have no life and no sense of pride but the publicity in the news is where it's at, aswell the news only covers stories convenient to their agenda. For example the news (fox especially) would be all over a case if a white man ran over and murdered a black girl under the influence and drugs, walks away Scott free where as vice versa. Literally nothing.

Even after medical experts proved the child died from a congenital condition (natural causes), the prosecutor still insisted she murdered the child and probably still does to this day (assuming the prosecutor is still around). Fortunately, the courts were a little more reasonable and let her go.

I’m a retired cop. I can tell you there are fantastic front line cops that would take a bullet for you. But at the same time there are narcissistic individuals who get hired as LEOs and bring with them their Trump like mentality that they are never wrong, even with obvious evidence to the contrary. The earth is round, we have all the proof, evidence and science to back it up, but yet there are those who wholeheartedly believe what they want. There is no changing their mind. Those are the cops we all need to be afraid of.

I’m from Baltimore. This was done many times in the 80’s by the Balt city police department. They would rob the banks with a black officer split the money then pin it on a guy with a few murders they guy would please out on lesser charges for the murders then go do time in the fed system instead of state pens. A better lifestyle for a prisoner for sure. Then the crime is checked off the fbi list and its free money. Well a couple of the murder suspects were innocent of the murders and fought it. They died in prison. You tell me. Maybe you don’t believe me, cool no problem but in Baltimore we just had the suiter incident. Police detective shot in broad daylight no one seen shit and then his partner destroyed the crime scene and didn’t have a cell phone or radio with him ... 1 day before the other cop was gonna testify with the feds on 23 other police officers. This has happened to me. My wife of 22 years had an affair and she and her boyfriend wanted a deposit to buy a house for themselves . He let HIS family keep their house, but they decided to make me sell ours (leaving me and our daughter possibly homeless as our daughter is at university but has stayed with me as her mother was abusive to her throughout her childhood - a lot of which I've only learned about now). Obviously I wanted to keep the house, so the two of them lied to the police and said I'd threatened to shoot the boyfriend's children! Anyone who knows me knows how crazy that is, plus his children of course have done nothing to me and are as much victims of their affair as our own daughter! It is completely illogical. This would also mean I'd lose my firearms licence (I'm in the UK) meaning I'd lose my job (I use firearms in my job and my wife used to work for the licensing department so knew exactly what to do!) - meaninng id have no money to afford to challenge her legally or pay the mortgage. So despite no evidence whatsoever the police came and locked me up. Instead of interviewing me they held me for the maximum allowed time and withheld the painkillers I need for a back injury, putting me into withdrawal .... then after 24 hours dumped in a cell interviewed me in that condition. Eventually they released me while they decided if to charge me - threats with a firearm carries a likely 6 to 8 years imprisonment here. After a few weeks, my ex and her bf realised they'd have to lie under oath on court, risking jail time themselves if I could prove it, so they withdrew their evidence. Despite it being obvious they were liars (they fully told police they'd been having an affair for months thus lying daily for months to everyone around them, so the officwrs knew they were very unreliable witnesses) plus a financial imperative to get me out of the way, plus me never even having had so much as a parking ticket in my life, the police immediately decided I was guilty. In fact they kept coming up with another offence to try and charge me for each time they couldn't make one stick. It was and continues to be hell. I never really understood that as a totally innocent person the police would be so malicious or just decide to take sides without even THINKING about it. I'm likely to lose my job still and the police won't give me my licences back despite me being innocent. A year on even and it's stopped me getting another job in the field I am trained in. It sent me into a depression and even caused our daughter to need counselling. Pure evil should not be supported by the police and when they've made a mistake they should simply admit that. How many lives have they ruined through sheer ego?

That’s not how this works. This happens in so many cases. The amount of people on death row that are innocent is said to be around 30% if I remember correctly. Prosecutors are paid when they get a conviction. “Experts” are paid to give testimonies they know aren’t true. In one case, saying bite marks matched when it was clear they didn’t... This system is clearly flawed, this shouldn’t even happen once, let alone regularly. Something needs to be done, NOW.

Some independent studies have the figure at around 7 percent. I think that this could be reduced dramatically if 1) If perjury charges were pressed more often. Currently, about the only time perjury cases are brought is if a prosecution rat changes his testimony on the stand
      2) The Baker rule was enforced with sanctions. The Baker rule is that which requires prosecutors to turn over all evidence, including anything that would help the defense in a trial in a timely manner. This rule is routinely violated by prosecutors. 3) If the poor defendants were given good public defenders rather than alcoholic losers that are chosen by the system for their lack of ability.

Yes they really are and it's sad. U can look it up there are people being released all the time that have spent from a month up to 20 or 30 years locked up away from their family and they are innocent. I have seen so many times DNA finally ruling somebody out and proving their Innocence. They are so behind in the legal system that u could get arrested even with DNA evidence that proves u are innocent and it can be "misplaced" which happens alot, or it could take years for them to test because they are so far behind. A guy spent 30 years on death row for a rape and murder of a woman he didn't even know. They raped him. Over and over. Because he was a sex offender because of his charges. He was on Joe rogans podcast a few years ago. DNA finally ruled him out but it took years for them to even test it and this was back when they first started DNA testing. It takes years for them to do it nowadays unless it's a high profile case that is all over the news or unless u have about 50 to 100 grand that u can pay an attorney from behind bars.
