One of my favourites, this one. Pitch Perfect satire. Blafili, which sounds Welsh, but I suspect isn't, is not the most terrible new brand name. That honour goes to ChocoSound, an offshoot from the equally silly Kinki Studio. Thats what happens when you name your brands after family members. Or pets. Having said that, I used to think Denafrips was a terrible name till I spent a wad of cash on a Denafrips DAC. Now I think it's a great name.
Thank you for the video, but I would rather talk about the importance of audiophile power cables. Can you please tell me if $3,499 is a reasonable price to pay for a 20 amp power cord?
If you can find a 20 amp power cord for only $3,499 then that is a very reasonable price. Sadly, I feel that unless you're buying it used because the owner is desperate for cash, you aren't going to hear the nuances in your music like a quality $18,000 cable. Please be aware I'm only using prices for 1 meter cables. Double everything for 2 meters.
Rather than spend all that money on power cords, you should support nationwide efforts to have Ohm's Law repealed. Ohm's Law is one of several laws that are discriminatory against people who can only afford thinner gauge wiring, which was put in place to support elitist audiophiles and the Monster Cable Corporate fat cats (phat khats).
Sure the digital part of the signal is the same as any other but it's what's being done to the converted signal in the analog domain before it reaches the output connector is where the nuances happen.
Blafili! Gesundheit! I was able to tell the difference between a very basic DAC ( like a delta sigma in a smart phone) and a purpose designed ladder DAC The differences were noticeable, but small. Proper speaker setup and room treatment made a vastly bigger difference.
There are definitely differences in some DACs - especially cheap ones. Not all dongles sound the same or are transparent - Apple's is transparent. Also, thanks for the definition of Blafili.
Your review made me laugh out loud a few times. Yeah I too suspect they there is very very difference between most DACs these days especially if you have middle age ears.
You should see his other channel where he gets messages from the spirit world via a vintage radio. It's more down to earth than his hifi channel. To avoid confusion. I am not joking. Check it out.
Actually the OP-Amp typically on the output is what voices the DAC & the Lower of the power supply noise down to .0000001 volts ripple noise

I remember a video where steve huff said the entry level for a hifi system is $15k. 🤦♂️

Yet the room for his hi-FI system is a bunch of windows, just after he talks about the importance of the room. That’s hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
Great …came for the review…stayed for the 🍔
Welcome aboard!
@@scientificaudiophilecurrently running the OG Wiim pro streamer feeding a Topping e50 DAC ….and its pretty damn nice!
How about Belgian beer?
Do you honestly think the Blafili B3 deserved a Gouden Carolus Classic? I don't think so!
A Blafili is an audiophile who raves on with a lot of Blah blah blah.
We call them a Blafili

Keep to the point man. Your "jokes" aren't funny. Just talk about the gear, stop combining it with being a clown.
No humor in any of my videos. Not sure what you’re talking about. Maybe that’s why you didn’t find the jokes funny, they aren’t jokes.
