    I found this very helpful!! From beginning to the end, people need to hear what it actually does and why it feels much better when we foam roll! My upper back between shoulder blades is the biggest problem for me I can never seem to crack that part but it always feels like it needs to, it’s so annoying .-.

      Thanks for the comment Aleena. Sorry to hear about your upper back.
      Maybe try my foam rolling follow along routine, that might help at least a little bit 🤙

    First of all, the video is really really helpful to find what I want. I have scoliosis called lumbar in my waist area for years. I've been suffering from some back and neck pain lately. I am quite aware of where not to apply pressure thanks to my physiotherapy background but of course I am not an expert. Is it okay if I use the little blue foam roller mostly on my neck and maybe waist anyway? I can use for just laying on it rather than rolling. Alternatively, I'm considering buying a 20 mm pilates ball. What do you think?

    • @bo_skitsko
      @bo_skitsko  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be ok using it on your waist, just use common sense and be patient with finding what works for you. About the neck thing, I'm a little concerned. It is very easy to hit the wrong angle and to cut off blood circulation to your brain without even knowing it, and then you can go light headed or even faint. So unless you know what you are doing with your neck I might just stick to neck stretches.
      And yes, sometimes it's a good idea to find a knot or tight spot and just lay on it and apply pressure and then roll after the pressure releases the know a little.

    thanks for the video..but why not roll the lower back?

    • @bo_skitsko
      @bo_skitsko  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not that it's inherently wrong to roll your lower back. But in generally it is advised to not recommend it it simply because there is a lot that can go wrong with putting so much pressure on your lower back when you are a beginner and have little to no experience. There is generally less muscle mass in that region and therefore your vertebrae are more exposed. Also there are lots of connections between connective tissues and nerves in that are too. While it is not wrong to roll there I would advised to be extremely careful. It is also important to mention that 9.5 out of 10 times lower back tightness/pain/discomfort comes from other areas in your body, like: tight hip flexors, tight glutes medius or weak abdominals or even obliques.
