Hey girl ! Been a T1D for over ten years. Just recently started on a pump, and tbh I had waaaay better control with MDI’s. So don’t feel bad about not starting on it. I’m thinking of going back to MDI’s
Nice to see an update from you. I went on the T:slim in Sept after Covid halted my March date. I am right now dealing with what you are saying. I had a scary low in Dec. and now I'm terrified to give myself too much insulin. Also, yes, try the longer needles. I was using 4mm on Pens, but my infusion sets are 6mm. I take less now than I did. I'm also more sensitive it seems to insulin again, which plays with my fears again. Hope you find a new Endo soon!
Nice video, for monitoring my glucose values I use Nightrider CGM with Libre sensor. I am able to get alarms for out of range readings, share readings with my endo and caregivers. It's the best method of tracking exercise, diet, and other activities on one platform..
My boyfriend just got diagnosed with diabetes type 1- diabetic ketoacidosis do you have any tips for me? How can I help him/be supportive? Anything I should watch out for?
You should definitely get on the tslimx2 pump. My daughter has been on it for 3 yrs. diabetic for 10..... I HIGHLY recommend the tslimx2... it has the Cgm with it . GAME CHANGER. Shots did not agree with my daughter we could never get it in range
that sounds awesome, i’m super glad that it works so well for her! i’ve been trying to get on pump pretty much since i was diagnosed, but unfortunately with the pandemic and everything, a lot of things have been delayed. i may not be able to get on it for another few months but i’m super excited for it!

When u went on walks how long did u walk or did it take to lower it? Did u try cinnamon or other natural stuff to help lower it at all?
A1C of 5.4 is really good. Could you give details of how you manage it so well? Are you on a low carb diet?
