I had a friend who used to run a trailer park. There was some people who left and didn't clean out their storage shed. It was full of patterns and fabric. She had a yard sale and women were showing up from the state over to get some of those patterns.
I had one of those Grill to Go units. I loved it's portability, with the folding legs separate from the grill unit. It was used plenty of times at the beach, where open flame grills were prohibited. The flame is contained beneath the grill surface, and the grill is a solid piece, with no openings which avoids flare ups. I used to set it up for our scouts to use all weekend at weekend campouts. I eventually donated it to our former scout unit, after my son aged out of scouting, and I ceased being a scout leader after about 15 years.
I can’t believe you picked up a Jim Croce album and didn’t say a word about it. Probably one of the greatest singer songwriter of all time, definitely the best of my generation.
A friend of mine who has given up sewing just donated her hundreds of patterns, stash of fabrics, and all of her sewing notions to a local Ukraine refugee support group. They were so thankful for it all including her extensive crafting supplies!
That’s some really good finds. Electric skillet, the Coleman lantern, that little portable propane grill…just a lot of good things. Seems like you are making good progress at the new property. The geese are getting big so fast!
So many good items in great condition that he and Houston and Jacoby or DJ can learn to use and enjoy. Who knows, we may all wish n want things like Coleman propane grills, lanterns, n heaters before this country gets back on its legs. This past two years on our country has been pretty rough and it looks like it's going to get rougher with potential depression, esg digital banking, etc coming with our military weaker than ever.
I squealed when I saw that sewing pattern cabinet and all its contents. That is gold to any fiber artists or seamstresses. Definitely do not throw that out! It’s worth lots of money…
Daniel great finds. I enjoy watching you go through it. My dad passed away February 12th. I lived with him for 5 years. Went through his closet found a box of arrows, a camera from 1902 , and 2 other cameras. We have a 3 car garage to go through next. He has every kind of tool anyone could want. Looking forward to go through and remember him working out there. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Love you guys
I'm in Minnesta & I love my electric skillet. I've used it in storms to cook in the kitchenette in the basement, taken it "camping" etc. Very versatile. I bought another one for my college student. Very easy to use too. Like having a mini stove.
Oh, my! She did leave a couple of great treasures you guys can use! The implements for the skid steer sure make quick work of the trees and moving big piles of "trash." Well, now you know what a turkey vulture nest and eggs look like. I'll wonder if they'll move the eggs? I'm so glad the new feather babies are still doing good! Thank you so much for taking us along!
@@andy6043 Kevin over at Hidden Heights Farm had buzzards in their rock house on their lake property. They finally were able to put in new windows, a new roof, and closed in with boards the two small areas near the roof and walls junction at the peak so no more buzzards inside, but they watched from the trees and strongly often complained that their secluded, protected nursery was no longer available for their potential next generation. I know Daniel is wanting to save the barn but he may need to wait til the baby birds hatch, get their feathers, and grow big enough to fly away. Then he'll need to clean out, power wash, and close it up so they can't get back in.
Daniel , I am so glad you are finding uses for some of the ' left-behinds ' and finding others who need or want some of those items . Anything that can be kept out of the landfill is a blessing . I'm sure there are many who will appreciate your generousity . Thank you for bringing us along with you and your family on all your pursuits .
that electric skillet is truly a find. find a collector of vinyls (records). There are some here in East Tennessee. Hopefully there's some near where you live. Vinyls are a big hit right now. A cabinet maker might be interested in the wall units. I wouldn't give up on some of it. Those jars of jellies should still be good. The best way to find out is to pop the lids.
I am so jealous of some of the goodies you're finding. Y'all are quickly transforming the new property. Can't wait till the shop or whatever you're calling it gets put up.
What neat 'treasures' you have found! My mama, God rest her soul, used to play the guitar & sing. And for years, when I was young, she had a Kay guitar. She loved her playing & singing. Country & Bluegrass. I had forgotten about her guitar from back then until you said the brand of name of the one you found! Sure brings back fond memories! Miss my mama. She passed away 10 yrs. ago this month. Also, I am a seamstress. Was amazed at all the patterns! I started sewing around 1975 & still at it. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. I love watching the clean up outside & yout gardening videos! I'm just a country girl & love to cook, sew & work outside. I always look forward to your videos! Sorry for the paragraph. LOL!
Those were awesome finds I would go crazy in the sewing room I am a retired seamstress that really intrigued me all those patterns and sewing books WOW!! And the grill good finds.
Nice Grill there Daniel and the old lantern saw and Coleman lantern there too in good shape good stuff for the Deer Camp and that chair too good for the stand. 😊
One person’s junk is another man’s treasure….. A very true saying ! Your certainly making a great start on clearing the bushes and trees, that machine certainly is a great thing the way it pulls the trees out of the ground. That old barn certainly looks like it should remain but might be too costly in time and materials to put it back to a decent condition. Possibly a museum would restore it back to its original condition. Great video as always. Take care and stay safe.
I noticed there are a lot of bearded irises growing under the plum trees you were taking out. They are probably the old fashion purple ones. I hope you will dig the corms out and plant around Houston's pond.
I have some old Dutch bearded Iris'. I have some white ones that smell lovely, an almost black one (Deep dark purple) that from a distance looks black, and also the lavender ones.
Really nice of the old owner to leave you all the new/ like new stuff. You definitely found some good items. Sorry to hear about y'all losing one of the baby turkey's.
Also a tip, if those are plum tree's, save some of the smaller branches (from 1 - 5" in diameter) and use to smoke meat with, we got some from a local orchard of pear and apple branches from storm damage or if a apple tree is taken down we get as much as we can and split the thicker stuff and use that on the fire pit when cooking steaks, burgers and other meats. The smaller branches we bring them home cut them down to 1-2 feet long, stack and let dry then cut into 1/2" wide slices, soak and toss on the smoker grill. Especially good mixed with mesquite chips with poultry (aka beer can chicken LOL).
Hi Daniel. I love your treasure trips and ramblings. Many people enjoy you and love you. Those patterns are a gold mind to the right person. The guitar is wonderful. You found some great things. Go Daniel Go!! Pulling those trees up by the roots. Sweet babies. ❤
Some really cool treasures found ! That grill will be great at the cabin . The tree removal is making it look so good ! It’s going to be so nice ! Can’t wait for more ! The hatchlings look so cute , hope the rest come on out !
I love rummaging through old barns and house my husband is in construction so every now and then we have old abandoned places to go through before it’s torn down and rebuilt!!
You got a lot accomplished!! That's looking so much better. I know the turkey buzzards will appreciate all your hard work too! 😂 But seriously, those are some really nice treasures. I appreciate you contacting the owner about that guitar. That may have a lot if sentimental value. I have a snare drum and violin at my mother's house. He said if I took lessons, I could have them. Well, I never did have the opportunity to take lessons, so I asked her to keep them for me until I do. Much love to your family! 🥰🤗
Score! The grill and heaters, and chair! For that rifle, search TH-cam how-to for "electrolysis" rust removal from cast iron. I'll bet the same process will work on that old .22 as well. Once you get it clean, convert the rust to blacken it and some Boiled Linseed Oil for the wood furniture. Some grease/oil as needed and it should make for a nice wall hanger. Good to see the hatchlings are doing good. Send those turkey vultures a bill for rent.
I happy you are going to try to restore what you found in the garden while mowing. I hope you are successful and will your viewers see it when you get finished with it.
Be careful with the turkey buzzard eggs because the birds are protected in my area ! I had a good chuckle at the electric skillet and crock pot because I have both of those!!!!
Oh my. I have a green electric skillet from early 1970s...love it.. The sewing cabinet is awesome..what a find. . Back from when they taught home economics... in schools... You found some great stuff..
Hello from Wisconsin the New Holland equipment well worth it for working on the new property years back my father use to have a New Holland 🚜 for the farm I do miss country life didn't appreciate it when I was young I really like watching your channel and the Eddy family stay safe 🙏
Black vulture! Daniel caught one of them going into the barn on video. It had a black head. Turkey vultures have a red head with no feathers around the face..
My cousin's husband made bows. When they visited us back in the early 90's they took some burdock apples back to Iowa and planted them in their yard. A couple of the trees flourished and supplied Rick with many fine bows. I had an electric skillet when I was younger, loved it so much I bought a new one last year. Glad you returned that guitar to the previous owner. She probably forgot it was there. You got a lot of good stuff for the cabin. Geese and turkey chicks doing well. That vulture nest is super cool, but don't let Houston try to hatch those eggs out! Let the mama vulture have the fun of raising chicks. Just keep us updated. I haven't seen any vultures up here in northern Oklahoma. Hawks yes. Hope Bella is doing well.
Enjoyable to watch the improvement and care of an old property and sharing/give away to others... Looks like you have plenty of great tools to help ...
The attachments that you have for the skid steer are awesome! It is so cool all the stuff it can do! I am definitely anxious to see the finished results for the new property, granted I know it's a long way out! 🤗🙌😁💜
I'm glad you found the vultures nest I hope you intend on leaving them Then you can show us how they grow up that would be an interesting lesson You have some serious looking attachments for the skid steer Alot easier on the back when you have equipment to do it for you 🇨🇦🦩
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. I have a electric skillet. May the Lord bless you and protect you and your family and the animals
Those patterns and sewing books are worth waaay more than you'd suspect...might want to put them and photos on marketplace..people travel to get their hands on old patterns
I have a crock pot just like that one, can't find another like it. The best crock pot I have ever used. Perfect for crock pot chicken and dressing. Can't believe they left all those good things behind. Love your videos, don't get to watch as much as I did. My son was in law enforcement for over 20 yrs. Love your family
I have a friend that has bought some old sewing patterns off the internet and she said they range from 5 dollars to 25 so I hope you don’t get taken.enjoy your videos
I just love watching you tear into stuff, clearing land and finding good things to reuse and repurpose for your hunting cabin! That old crockpot is worth its weight in gold and I have one still working to this day! It's a great old crockpot!
We have one that we put on our pontoon boat when we camp on it! Bait out a hole among trees n tie off over night! Bait out a catfish hole n next morning while hubby fishes I start breakfast! So peaceful n fun!
It's a shame the fire department can not use the house in a control burn because it's too close to the road. It was nice of you to give the original owners the guitar.
I had never paid any attention to what is in fields and on our land until I started watching your video's the other day when I was coming home I passed a feild that had cows there was a ton of cedar trees in that field so when I got home I just sat in the car and looked around we have a lot of brush we need to get rid of
My grandmother sewed all her clothes. Simplicity Patterns were made near where we lived. My other Grandparents were Furriers in Chicago and could sew skins together by hands as good as any machine. They made all kinds of Fur coats from Alaskan Seal to Cheetah and Minks. We all had Raccoon Skin Caps when we were kids like Daniel Boons.
Hi Daniel Great video. Yall got some neat stuff that they left. That guitar is from late 50 to early 60. Worth some money. Love the old lanterns. The feather babies are adorable God bless and love yall
Thx for sharing your treasure hunting adventure. Lots of good stuff. Your finds are great. Congrats again on your place of adventure. Hope your dreams for it come to pass and are everything you hoped it would be. Blessings from OKC Grandmother.❤️
Daniel, I wanted to make a comment about that old lunch box that you found. My grandfather, Rev. Norman Guy Frame lived in a sawmill town called Swandale, West Virginia from 1926-1966 he went there with his wife my grandmother and raised 8 children. He operated the furnace of the creosote vats where the mill cut, then soaked the railroad ties in creosote which is a thin oil, similar to tar. They treated them and it repelled insects. He carried a lunch box just like the one you found in that abandoned property. Before my grandmother passed away, she gave it to my mom. And when my mom passed away my father gave it to me. I have it setting in my dining room inside my China hutch. Mom told me when his meal was packed,. It would be pinto beans in the bottom the tray that you could remove held cornbread or biscuits and sliced meat like cured ham or fried chicken. The cup on top was for coffee and water. The foreman had coffee brought to the site for the workers and water breaks were permitted, and varied with the season. My eyes lit up when I saw that old lunch pail. It brought back so many memories. God bless you Daniel. 🙏😇
I'm excited about the turkey vulture's nest! Yeah, they're ugly and even stink but they are invaluable to the Circle of Life. If you really take the time and make an effort to study them you'll find just how remarkable they are. I hope you keep us updated on them and showcase the babies when they hatch. Don't let the dogs follow you in the barn though. I don't know if the adults are protective of their babies or not but don't want to find out at the expense of one of your dogs. I do know they have very sharp and powerful beaks and talons. Also, thank you for letting us know that the guitar was picked up. Usually student models aren't worth much but they can certainly hold beautiful memories. I'm glad to know your brother is salvaging building materials and hardware before the house is torn down. My bedroom door and hardware was salvaged from an old house I inherited. It was my neighbor's house, the eyesore of the neighborhood. He was my best friend for 13 years before he died. An old sailor, I learned a lot from him. I could go on and on to describe what a wonderful person he was. Yes, he lived in squalor but it was because he retired early to care for his mother. She was 99 at the time of her death. He was 76 at his. I buried him at Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio Texas. The DFW National Cemetery was still in the planning stages. Phew! My "comment" has turned out to be a novel!
Those patterns are a goldmine! There’s likely many things that would sell at a yard sale, even at a dollar or two. Maybe a way for the kids to raise money? It’s amazing what people will buy!
Put those books "sewing step by step" over with the other patterns. That is a pretty expensive set. Lots of neat stuff in there. Really glad I don't live closer, I could see some dumpster diving in my future if I did.
We purchased my aunt's house after she passed away, her kids sold it just like the took her out. We had food in the frig., a cellar full of canned food, a garage full of tools and all her personal things. Even her clothes were in the dressers, panties and all. I had all the jars I needed to do a lot of canning after our garden started producing. It was amazing the things we found in that house.
Evening Daniel. Some goodies found by all who wanted. Looks like you’ve made good headway and not much longer till you pull it all down. Have a great weekend take care and god Bless. 💕🙏
Daniel, So sorry for your loss I know how you feel. We lost our Peedee our Chihuahua he died unexpectedly. That's been a year and we still miss him. He was the most loving and the sweetest dog I've ever seen. He was loved and he loved us. The pain will get better.
Hi Daniel. Wow, that grapple hook on your machine really is priceless. I know that farm equipment can be expensive, but it does so many jobs in such a short time. Plus you can do this yourself saves money! Very cool 😮
Great video. There is a lot of treasures in that house glad you didn't destroy them love that machine could watch that clean up your property all day can't wait for the next video😊
OMG! What a treasure hunt! All those patterns - how awesome. The electric skillet was similar to one I used to have, and yes, lots of fried chicken was made in it. I used to have that same crackpot til about 2 years ago, and it stopped working. I still love old albums, and seeing the Donny and Marie ones brings me back to growing up. Every Friday night, I was glued to TV to watch their show. I just recently bought a couple of albums at a thrift store. Thanks for sending me back to the past!
You still got a few deals out of that house which surprises me with all the people rummaging through. The ducks and turkey look big already ❣️ Have fun tearing that house down 🙂
I had a friend who used to run a trailer park. There was some people who left and didn't clean out their storage shed. It was full of patterns and fabric. She had a yard sale and women were showing up from the state over to get some of those patterns.
Any person that sews would be interested in all that sewing stuff. Maybe Facebook it!!
Or put the patterns up in the store where you sell merch. I would definitely buy some.....and the guitar
Same with the material it was hanging there on a cloth rack !!!
Lots of money in patterns even if you sell a buck a piece
I wish I had all the patterns my Mother used to make clothes for us three girls. I do have several of the dresses she made me.
Playing "I Spy" for a turkey vultures nest....... never a dull moment for these guys 🤣🤣🤣
I love the way your machine pulls those trees right out by the roots. That's pretty cool!🤗
A friend of mine who has given up sewing just donated her hundreds of patterns, stash of fabrics, and all of her sewing notions to a local Ukraine refugee support group. They were so thankful for it all including her extensive crafting supplies!

I’m looking forward to seeing if the emu egg hatches!
U probably rearrange some Snakes Den in all that tin too. 😊WOW that plows Disc r Old 😊

Wow! You did find lots of treasures! So glad you have been able to sell some of it.
Proper tools always make the job easier 👍🤓
That drawer/cabinet filled with patterns is a treasure to my eyes!!! You could probably make a nice lil profit selling those.
Not to mention all those books on how to sew.
Hello from Wisconsin the New Holland equipment well worth it for working on the new property years back my father use to have a New Holland 🚜 for the farm I do miss country life didn't appreciate it when I was young I really like watching your channel and the Eddy family stay safe 🙏
I love that cherry picker you have. Pulls trees and roots at once. I like all your boys toys. Stay safe Daniel.
That machine pulling trees out is amazing! Time saver for sure!
It's amazing to me what people leave behind. Treasure chest for you all, how fun.
I'm so glad you are going through the shed and house to see what can be used. Alotbof people would've just torn it down without looking
Seeing those vulture eggs was wicked cool! Are they turkey vultures or black vultures?
Please show us the baby vultures when they hatch. 😊
Black vulture! Daniel caught one of them going into the barn on video. It had a black head. Turkey vultures have a red head with no feathers around the face..

Thank you for taking us along while you went through the house. Lots of useful treasures on that property.
Glad that the woman took the guitar back. Glad to see little cornholio and the geese are doing great.
Enjoyable to watch the improvement and care of an old property and sharing/give away to others... Looks like you have plenty of great tools to help ...
I have one of those green crock pots when I got married in 1967. They are great for keeping beans warm at a get together!
The attachments that you have for the skid steer are awesome! It is so cool all the stuff it can do! I am definitely anxious to see the finished results for the new property, granted I know it's a long way out! 🤗🙌😁💜
I can envision that barn restored. They are so beautiful !!!!!
That guitar and all the records would be super cool hanging on the wall of the new building. The guest room can be a retro music theme.
I had never paid any attention to what is in fields and on our land until I started watching your video's the other day when I was coming home I passed a feild that had cows there was a ton of cedar trees in that field so when I got home I just sat in the car and looked around we have a lot of brush we need to get rid of
I love treasure hunting, you found some great finds
My grandmother sewed all her clothes. Simplicity Patterns were made near where we lived. My other Grandparents were Furriers in Chicago and could sew skins together by hands as good as any machine. They made all kinds of Fur coats from Alaskan Seal to Cheetah and Minks. We all had Raccoon Skin Caps when we were kids like Daniel Boons.
I actually think the sewing patterns are the best find! I would be in my glory! Hope they find a nice home.
Look through all those tins on top of kitchen cabinets…people tend to put valuables in them.
You really found some great stuff that will be useful to you! I think it’s so much fun to treasure hunt like that!
Lots of treasures still. Happy to hear that someone is reclaiming old wood doors shelves etc.
When my grandma passed & it was really weird going threw her house but at the same time looking threw old pictures & reminiscing made it ok.
I just love watching all the treasures you find and taking all of us along for the adventure.
You got some real nice goodies!
I love watching you clean up the new property it's really looking pretty.
Baby feather babies look great!
Your feathered friend babies are adorable! You've found some real treasures on your new property.
Those patterns are a goldmine! There’s likely many things that would sell at a yard sale, even at a dollar or two. Maybe a way for the kids to raise money? It’s amazing what people will buy!
Awesome
Hi Daniel!! Thanks for all the adventures! Lots of love, from N Florida!! Ps, how’s Houston’s turtles and pet fish doing??
That crunching sound during the tree removal was oddly satisfying.
A busy day. Looking better every time. Thanks. Chris from England
I love that old barn, small and simple
Thank you for sharing it all with us today. God bless you and your whole family...🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Buzzards are my spirit animal!
That Jim Croce album is the best one in the stack. He died in a plane crash in 1973. Amazing artist.
Gobble Gobble up those trees and roots. That little machine is awesome it runs like a mini tank.
I always enjoy your videos Daniel. You make me smile many times and are such a caring person...a good man.
You still got a few deals out of that house which surprises me with all the people rummaging through. The ducks and turkey look big already ❣️ Have fun tearing that house down 🙂
