Your brother sounds like my grandfather, he was born 1894 died 1973. He was also a farmer and saved everything only he was very organized. When I was about 5 yrs old he started setting me down to straightening bent nails with a hammer. Loved that man, he taught me a lot about farming and money. I think your brother is an example of old timely farming, which is great!

Remove the cabinets, paint a nice color, add new hardware, and put into the kitchen of the new place. Doing this will make them instantly modern, plus retro is in and big time right now, as is the color Navy Blue for cabinets. Agreeing with your brother on not sending those discs to scrap, they are worth money to metal artists like myself. Glad to hear you found a home for those sewing patterns, and that band saw!

You could put the old kitchen cabinets in your workshop. You can also reuse the old windows in chicken coops, and hotbeds. You would have to put hard wire over the windows near animals. I'm from a family that repurchased almost everything. Have fun.

Hi I’m new to your Chanel. I’m from Australia. I feel your pain about loosing your Bella. I lost my girl about 3 years ago. She was just over 12 years old. It was so hard to see her gone, as she was my baby. She was a German shepherd and loved her mum. About 6 years ago, our older German shepherd was put to sleep. She was about 6 but was really suffering. After the vet had put her to sleep, she said before we bury her, make sure we let our other dog ( Casey) get a chance to sniff and say goodbye. After that she wouldn’t leave the area where we buried our girl. Dogs defiantly feel the loss too.

Cabinets can be used in a garage for storage. We bought a house where the prior owners had replaced the kitchen cabinets and they put all the old ones in their oversized garage. Worked so great.

My poor Sasquatch grieved harder than we did when his companion passed. I did get him a new buddy a few months later, and he was happy again. Now he has crossed the bridge, and my new dog has two cats he absolutely adores, so we aren't in a great big hurry to get another dog.

Talking about how animals feel loss.. When my puppy got run over (6 years ago) my brother's dog saw how sad I was. She hugged me, then sat in my lap. She did that twice.
