I’d like to clarify that abaya is not required at all. Many Westerners and Russian women have stayed in Riyadh for months without buying an abaya yet. Showing shoulders is also fine. The easy and simple rule is no shorts. That’s it… I don’t know why many female visitors make a big fuss about the clothing part like they’re visiting Iran or the Taliban…
