Holy crap! This brings back some memories. I remember when I first seen him in comics. This is the look he had. I always have had a fondness for this look. The ridging on the gloves and boots. The discs on the hips. (Even though I don’t remember what they were for lol).The swap out Face plates. I really like the face plate with the points. The yellow and red is amazing. I wish it was painted like you mentioned would have been better. I love this retro look. I also wish it came with the suitcase he use to use to carry his Iron Man suit. It looks awesome! Great video.

This iron man makes me think of like the Master Grade 2.0 RX 78 vs the RX 78 3.0. Takes that classic design, adds a bunch of surface detail to “ground” the design and I love it

I agree this is an improvement over the clear plastic, but it's still frustrating. We got the perfect sculpt saddled with either ugly clear plastic, or non-painted glossy plastic. Get rid of the clear, use the metallic perhaps with a "punchier" red and gold (I'd be happy even with the current metallics) and I'd be all in! Till then I'm sadly sitting this one out.
i just wish they painted the panel lines on the yellow parts, also it would have been nice when on the thighs when you bend the knees the parts underneath were dark

This seems like another miss. When you have those gold arms on the solid red we’re ALMOST there. The paint job is just so weak here with all those unpainted panels. I have the stealth version (convinced by your great review of it) and the darkly colored plastic and the metallic paint job is so premium and really makes for a great figure. Metallic red with the gold arms or red colored plastic with the gold arms would look really sharp. As it is, I’m passing on this one.

Gotta say, I really did like the solid red and gold look in the middle. Not sure it's worth buying 2 figures to get that look, but it still looks really cool to me. In my perfect version would be having the black line work on the yellow limbs like the gold ones do.

You would have to be crazy to buy both this new Classic Iron Man + the Original just to mix and match the parts, but after seeing the combo at 16:09, wow, I think that is just immaculate… the plain yellow limbs on this figure that ignore the amazing sculpted detail is a total waste, and while I actually like the clear plastic of the Original, I will admit that it is weird, but Gold Limbs + Glossy red torso, and the way they contrast and make each other look, that for me is THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS (in proper Hannah Montana fashion of course)
Don't get me wrong I like the new one but I did some digging and I know exactly why they went with the clear plastic on the first mold and when you see it you will understand also. Go and Google some old Alex Ross Ironman art. The clear plastic represents the pop of reflection in his art. When you have the figure in the wide shot it works. When you see it I think you will have a new love for the figure. Love your content by the way.
Actually no it was due to the artist collaboration with PIA, check their socials they explain it. They do Iron Man figures made out of crystal, they did clear to replicate that

Why is it that all the reviewers can’t get that it’s not an arc reactor but his uni beam. The two top bits were solar power collectors and the hip pods were storage batteries. The arc reactor only came along in the films. The figure is nice but hard core iron fans only I fear for the cost
