I like what Anduril is doing and we need more companies like this. Unfortunately so many of our defense companies have been bought up. We need more ship building companies too, that can meet deadlines and stop these ridiculous cost overruns. Looks like our new Constellation frigate has already been pushed back 1 year.
Drones don't fly in a straight line and want to be a target as demonstrated in this video. The drones are operated by skilled pilots who can turn the drone left or right. These drones have cameras. Can the drone buster recover after missing its target? HOW MUCH FUEL DOES THIS BUSTER HAVE TO GO FOR ANOTHER AT THE SAME TARGET THAT IT MISSED BECAUSE THE PILOT SAW THE DRONE BUSTER AND EVADED THE ATTACK.
I’ve seen a few of his interviews and he seems to be a very impressive person. It’s helpful to know that he produced a previous working product and isn’t promoting vaporware.
Great product. Seems extremely efficient and doesn’t risk the lives of people that matter. As an equity trader, I look forward to seeing how this company performs and expands once it’s public
@@SellingLAandMiami Good point, when Anduril has its IPO the stock should do extremely well… Revenue growth will continue due to the U.S. military and other nations as its primary clientele. 🚀🏆💲
The “intact” drone Roadrunners that don’t hit their target don’t explode, so they come back and land, which saves huge money… If they do hit their target - mission accomplished.
The Coyote anti drone system is intended to be employed against EO guided drones such as Iran’s Shaded drone and subsonic cruise missiles which cannot be jammed. Anduril and numerous other defense companies employ jammers against RF guided drones such as those used by Ukraine. Andurils real achievement is their Lattice AI system which can network numerous systems and vastly increases situational awareness and decreases the number of personnel needed.
Anduril is an exciting startup. Hopefully disrupts Defense industry like SpaceX has disrupted ULA. Only concern is economics of a Roadrunner (cost low six figures) killing a 5k Chinese drone.
This feels like the military industrial complex on steroids. We already have a worldwide problem where these industries trough lobbying are causing or at least pushing to a forever war. Not sure how humanity is better of. Never invest in shit like this would be my 2 cents.
Wow. That’s quite an insult. Elon is only a genius for screwing other people and taking credit for their work. And Elon is the baby Elon. He lies with a straight face like those sociopathic teenagers that torture animals.
Sure is going to wait ,also cell phones can literally detect a bird flying in the air. That detection has been around for 20 years and literally made trillions of stealth technology a joke and taxpayer theft .
its a nice demo but its not an economical feasible defense system. The main enemy today are cheap attack drones. they costs 10000-20000$ , some may use commercial drones like DJI's which cost even less . How much a single RoadRunner interceptor costs ? 100,000$ ? Do the math and you will understand why no army will buy this . Nevertheless , the RoadRunner-M is cool for show especially the landing part. For mass usage the solution need to be different. The other threats are handled by cheaper systems. Single Iron Dome missile : 50000$ .
I was thinking the same thing. These would be great for going after cruise missiles or Shahed drones, but in the case of the Shaheds I would think that Anduril’s drones would be considerably more expensive than their targets.
@@SohoComedyClubLondon the 3rd thing I didn't mention is the ability to detect low flying objects and track them. Anduril , without a radar system is useless. Today's radar systems are struggling to find a bird size drone flying low . So it's not enough to have a good interceptor , you also need good radar to guild that interceptor or even launch it to the right direction. Otherwise it will be too late.
To intercept larger helicopters ,planes or drones flying in the area. Cost effective as opposed to sending a fighter jet in every possible way . They are way way faster than dgi drones and on another level resuable and targeting with ai . As for your radar comment Ukraine is using cell phones to highly accurately track drones , the technology using cell phone signals has been around for 20 years and makes stealth really not stealth at all . Popular mechanics had a article on it .
roadrunners are not for the small drones, they have another, cheaper solution for that. the roadrunner is more comparable to a rocket. but can be reused and is extremly intelligent gent and can take out targets in very far distances

If you meant cost efficient: I doubt it. Other solutions are cheaper.

How can you have a reusable interceptor? After it intercepts there won’t be anything left

Personally I prefer the what’s up doc?
Be nice to know the range of the drone and its weapons
The range was never published and for a good reason.
Excellent thanks 👍
This stuff is revolutionary
Building advanced "defensive" weapons should be the goal of every defense contractor... Defense!
Hang on that’s the Regan museum with the old air force 1

Its for Jet powered threats

Good one! 😆

Forget the drones ... that Morgan Brennan needs to get it. :)

Nope, U.S. Defense Department just awarded his Company Anduril a billion dollar contract in misc systems
