Hi John-o Just thought I would drop in. Great video yet again, followed you from the start. Can you put the link in for the video as I looked for your other channel and couldn't find it. Thank pal. be safe out there. I just wanted to add now I've seen it all LOL DON'T park at the red lion pub truck stop., it is known to be a police hot spot as they like to check drivers coming out after they use the place to check if they are fit to drive or over the limit from using the pub there
Hi John-o, saw your colleague's lorry parked on the A38 at the end of the Wellington by-pass, had a feeling you would be on Royal Mail work. Have a good week out and about
What about ride alongs for charity? Will the boss allow it? Will you be able to put up with it? The Royal Mail trips, or the M&S trips out and back. Ride alongs could stop locally so you’re not sharing the truck overnight. I would live in my camper, others could stay in local hotels.
Christmas is still alive😂😂love it,so when you do royal mail it seems you might do less hours than normal so do you lose out money wise by doing the royal mail job but then i suppose you have no choice as its part of the job but i was just wandering thats all, cheers john o🙂👍
190 miles in 3:45? Yep zero wiggle room and traffic not accounted for. Although they'd probably say there's 45 minutes of contingency built in as it's not planned to a 4:30 drive.
I do 2/3 days a week agency for Royal Mail and it's not a bad job at all. Generally very decent people to work with, once they know you're not a plonker 😂
hi jonho. If you run outside of the schedule or overtime in other areas of transport, the planners should be held responsible for the infringements, first and foremost.
u don't only do your own work.. but u do every bodies else's job......so nothing changed in the haulage trade..ex-general haulage 45yrs, started 1972....retired thank god
Very enjoyable dude. Done twenty years in my own trucks in the eighties and nineties. Safe driving.😁👍
Thank you and thanks for your service
Thanks for the ride John. Take care.
Not a problem

I wouldn't drink on a school night anyway
Another great video John o mate
Thanks
Great video.. must be hard adjusting your sleep patterns when you have to.. keep up the good work 😊👊👊
Not too bad then first night or 2 is a bit tiring but I then stay in the pattern through the entirety of the time I'm doing it, even at the weekends
Another great vlog pal👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks again
Another good video didn't know Royal Mail used outside trucks thanks for informing
Yeah mainly to cover for the winter rush of packages that come through
And when their on strike, some people have no morals doing scab work
Work is work at the end of the day, if they don't do it someone else will
Great videos, used to do a lot of tramping over 25 years ago (only on a 18 tonner) changed a bit now
Thank you

Yeah he parked there most nights i think
@TruckerJohno nice quiet spot there, far enough off the road and still in walking distance of Wellington Town centre
Nice one John great video
Thanks you
Good one John.

I don't think anyone would want to spend that much time with me 🤣
Hi John
Great video John the are glad you for royal mail
Tight schedule ?
Luckily 2024 was quite easy

I get paid ok from it my boss gets a set amount per day so I put down a set amount of hours each day
Very decent pay for truck driving I believe.
Bit repetitive but I'm not complaining.
Tops up my pension so keeps me going 😂
I won't mind doing it in my later years
Pinky and the brain ahh the childhood memories
Such a good cartoon
I'm going to watch some tonight on YT

Although they'd probably say there's 45 minutes of contingency built in as it's not planned to a 4:30 drive.
The route i had the year before didn't have much as planned for a 8h43 drive every night, this route was a lot nicer

It's nice easy work pretty good pay as well
What type of truck sat nav do you have
Tomtom go expert plus

In an ideal world yes, apart from certain circumstances it just doesn't go that way
Bay reversing after eating Carolina Reaper... 😅 is that even safe?
Christ I wouldn't eat anything that hot when on the road
Less traffic at night. But road closures. Bit of a pain.
Yes it's indeed a pain
What’s the name of your other channel again Johno ? So I can subscribe Buddy. 👍

Yeah i like the variety, would get boring otherwise, I've been driving for a living for 19 years and love it
@@TruckerJohno don't get wrong...i would not have changed anything...best years of my life[freedom]
Good to hear, thanks for your many years of service
Cushty 👍🤫🤣
Very cushty
Hi john-o
Hi
Are u ok
Still alive so can't complain
Not sure you should be publishing Royal Mail duty schedules bit of a security risk I’d imagine
Schedules change every year and I didn't show the schedule number
But if they have an issue they can email me and I'll take the video down
Exactly, that truck runs every night at that set time carrying high value goods and you’ve published the times for the next few months at least 😩
All finished with now 🤷♂️
....Almost like I planned this video to come out after it's all finished, magic that
Always first class in your delivery never 2nd
Ha thanks
