I think one of the reasons why they brought it back: it is a promotion to: • the japan movie release _One Piece Film Red_ that was in Japan theaters • a video game that later got announced which is called *One Piece Odyssey* (its like THEY KNEW the new video game was gonna come later this year without saying anything when the first teaser trailer got shown) • the live action netflix tv series gets a official reveal ever since it got announced years ago for a greenlit which those 3 are all coming in 2022 - 2023 as Toonami has been doing promotions lately besides DC related for their movie releases by airing DC

One piece has drastically risen in popularity in the united states since 2019, its going to do just fine, I could see a lot of people not watching it due to the fact that nobody cares about cable anymore (myself included) but for the people who own and watch cable, its going to do well, especially with the fresh start off the timeskip instead of long ring long land

I think the biggest issue is the fact that they're starting where they canceled off , don't get me wrong I'm probably farther behind than anyone else in this , I doubt I'm even at the point where they had left off before they came off of toonami , part of it is work and the other part I have watched other types of anime , and I had recently gotten interested in what is known as vtubers , so my intention span even to Japanese anime has been better sluggish , but to start off at a point where people at least a good sum of people have already seen just isn't good .

People might record one piece on VCR, any recording function, or watch on demand to see it. Anything possible can happen. Sometimes they don't make logical sense they just put it there to fill in the schedule or save the budget whatever they can afford. They just spend some on Made in abyss and other crunchyroll shows. Pretty much they're running on low budget on everything else.
Probably brought it back to capitalize off of the Wano hype that's been blowing up because of the improved animation and art style. So OP has been trending like crazy, but it doesn't matter for Toonami lmao they're not even at the New World yet over there. The arc that's so popular rn is like over a decade from where Toonami is at.

The main one is FunimationNow which has every one piece English dub episode in every sub episode on that streaming service.
