As so many have mentioned, the narration by Bruce Perry is exceptional - amazing to keep such an even and always engaged pace with subtle, and varied intonation over nearly 40 hours. Hugely, appreciated!!

many people who narrated books can hide that they are rushing and want to get over with... Bruce Perry narrated all the nuances and enjoy and relives what he reads.

@IosebDzhugashvili well I only listened to it while doing some work but I am quite certain that it's a very profound take on humans suffering under the burden of free will and creating their own path and meaning ect. in Life which is also almost stated in these same wirds I believe in the narrative. By basically binding the people to the church as it was in those times and "misusing" its influence in many other ways the inquisitor argues that they did the people a greater good than jesus himself. Since the examplary path he layed out for them is too hard to follow for most humans and even less to stay on it permanently. So by keeping them in fear from eternal damnation but also promising/providing quite clear and easy options to evade or shorten the time in purgatory ect. People are actually more contented with life. This is quite shortend and involves not everything that's meant to be said as far as I understand but these are the baiscs. I bet there is a lot of analysis on this chapter so u can just look that up

I just completed this incredible audio book The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky. A book everyone should read in his or her lifetime I was told. At moments I certainly was in the presence of very high quality literature. Many wow moments where I knew why I’d been directed to this. Deeply saddening moments as well as a psychological and political discussion staged as dialogue between characters. It was long and arduous and I fear many won’t invest the time to complete or even begin the book, but I am significantly more aware of what great literature is and have developed a hunger for more Dostoyevsky. Seeking out Notes From Underground next… Thank you for all the comments here. Hit gold finding all of your opinions and take in TBK. Excellent book!

Artistry of writing, human weakness of character , conviction and power of true love .

It’s even worse in crime and puhishment but so far as I can tell it’s just the naming convention. E.g.
      First name Dimitri
      Nickname Mecha
      Fathers name (fyodervitch)
      Last name (karamazov)
It would make more sense with English names I think, similar to how Robert can be rob, Bobby, and all kinds of weird nicknames. The fathers name is the confusing one, we don’t really have an equivalent in English

Sorry, I do not have any uploaded at this time. I enjoyed this narrator as well. I will remember you when I find a good book with this narrator. Thanks for listening.

Please do!! Let us know when the narrator gets out with another book ! What about the Odyssey? - I’m a true fan of both, the publisher/uploader and narrator!!! Great work everyone!

Jag kan helt slumpmässigt lyssna aktivt ett tag från vilken minut som helst, och göra det om och om igen, och bli lika förundrad och inspirerad av både uppläsningen och prosan. Är det här lika bra på originalspråket?
