You need to give up the elevator when you turn with the ailerons. When you turn right you move the right stick right and also pull back on the right stick a little bit. Always add some up elevator when making a turn. Uo elevator means pulling back on the right stick If you just turn left without any up elevator you lose altitude and can even stall and spiral to the ground.
So sorry to see you crash like that. I taught myself to fly and went through several planes and many crashes. You'll get better and crash much less frequently. Crashing repairing and flying again is just part of the hobby.
You are a hero to me! When I started about 6 years ago, I also bought an airplane that was too small, then a real trainer (propeller behind the wing at the top). Learning to fly alone is very difficult!!! Back then I had no idea or experience and today I completely build out my aircraft Cardboard, Depron, balsa wood or a mix myself. Don't give up, train and have fun! Happy landings, from Germany👍
Yooo keep at it my man. I taught myself to fly FPV drones. Then FPV wings. Three months ago i started flying planes line of sight and my god is it hard. I just had my first full flight without SAFE the other day. That feeling of taking off and landing never gets old. Ive destroyed so many drones, wings, and planes. Its just part of the hobby man. Keep up the practice

Man, that first big crash is painful 😅 it took me a while to get over smashing my P47 1.2m into the ground at 80mph lol. I think best way to get over it is to practice on a sim, putting a few hours into that really helped me a ton.

There is a couple of strong glues on the market for that type of foam that will tackle all that damage no problem, just glue like a jigsaw bit by bit have patience allow to dry and get back out.
I am learning to fly alone. I flew a cheap plane on Amazon and then I got a Strix nano goblin. I can’t get the throw correct and kept smashing the plane. so I put the landing gear from the cheap plane on my goblin. I am going to add a camera so I can see in the sky. It will be easier to control it alone if I can see Fpv. I just need to taxi it and get it in the air slightly so I know it can fly then I’m adding a camera
Nice job man crashes definitely do happen even pros have them unfortunately its part of the hobby i destroyed a balsa plane last weekend about 15 seconds after take off brain went smooth and i couldnt tell what side of the plane i was looking at and wrong inputs bombed it right into the ground i agree with people saying to get the sim its definitely a awesome tool to have rainy days when you cant get out you can still practice and learn im still green and learning everytime i go out just keep practicing i definitely would do touch and go's its a good pratice for landings especially on windy days to help learn rudder control but your picking it up quickly keep it up man
OUCH! Sorry to see what happen there Bris one thing to always keep in mind whenever you are flying or landing is always best try to keep your plane in front of you and not let it go behind you for one prevent a crash and two in case god forbid if someone is behind you watching you fly who doesn't end up getting hit and hurt. But also I want to say Bris you did great job at the first flight and landing always try to flair back to help soften your landings you have to use a combo of a littlebit of throttle along with using some of your elevator to help the plane from stalling and slamming down. Also one more thing a timer would be a very great tool to use while your in the air to help keep track of your flight time along with a battery checker to make sure your not running your lipo below 3.2. Hopefully this info gives you a load of help Bris? BTW I'm very happy to hear that your not rushing to get that Eflite Viper EDF flying yet take your time with this trainer plane if you want to see how that EDF fly's like? Just get your hands on that Real Flight Evolution sim it's on there the best part is when you crash it you can just hit the reset button you won't be able to do that with your actual one🤣🤣🤣🤣
At this rate you will be a pro in a month and doing crazy stunts. Had to edit this I have to take back the comment above. That just smashed into pieces a perfect crash 😢
I've been building and flying drones going on ten years now. My friend says you should get a plane. It will be fun he says. Its easy to fly he says. When my flight time is in single digits (minuets) TOTAL and my repair time also is in single digits (hours) the ratio of repair time is far exceeding my in-flight enjoyment time. Now it is a display. LOL

Just had to swim with a gator to get my boat back 😆👍 ..When I got my first plane, I would go through packs just practicing touch and go-s until I got natural with it.
