Never buy from that seller again. There is a near 0 probability that you hit that same coalition from 6 hangers. These were searched.
Or they figured out case collation and sold bumb boxes

100% searched. For the hangers to look like that...the outer box that they were shipped in must be completely smushed/crushed.
There's just no way that every hanger had the same exact coalition....IMHO
Bro - quite certain those packs had been searched. Brutal. There was just too much of the same for those to have been consecutive hangers from the same case. Plus not one Acuna RC... I'm guessing searched all day.
Makes you wonder if the box card collations could be known before you open the boxes?

Those boxes weren’t damaged in transit. The seller (who is probably scum) made it look like transit damaged. But you clearly pointed out in the video that the tops of the boxes were popped open. Someone played with these enough to see inside as to what the first card was and was hoping to get the collation right. My best guess is that they had tons and tons of these boxes. Sifted through the collations they were unsure about or the ones they were confident. Left the remaining to be sold. Sad to see honestly. Maybe the morale of the story is to buy singles. But then what does that do for you when it comes to content…not as fun.

I agree. Dave and Adam’s has never ever been good to me. Kinda odd I spend more at Dave and Adam’s because of the selection they offer and have never had a “big” hit. But my local card shop I visit about once a month and I pull some absolute unreal hard to pull hits.

I just bought a hanger box of the 2018 update myself and pulled shoehi #83-2 blue. First Ohtani rookie parallel that I've ever found.

I was just thinking the same thing. If they know the collation, they can squish the top enough to get a peak at the top card and if it's the wrong collation, they resell it.
That collation in almost every box is no coincidence. Definitely wouldn't buy from them again. Almost certain they were searched.
I was thinking the same also. I would check out the clear inside wrapping to see if there were too many kinks in it
If you can see the back card you can tell if it's landscape or not. Landscape enders were not good packs

Ripped some topps WBC off ebay. Bought 4 boxes. No auto relics. When i bought 4 off topps, it seemed as if every other box (1:2) has an auto relic. Not sure. But a very noticeable weight difference. Seems like a sneaky way to sell the boxes that weigh less, learned my lesson. Obv can't really prove it but that's one product that's just super easy to tinker with
I got some of these from blowout around Thanksgiving and same thing, tops of boxes had damage(not as bad as yours) but the cards were fine.

I know at this point I'm just kicking a dead horse. But after a few boxes I got an icky feeling and started asking myself, "is it possible"? Then I remembered you saying something. at 7:00 you noticed they were "shuffled around a little bit". I just pictured some dirt bag carefully sliding card after card just enough to where he could see what's there. Or maybe I'm wrong , and the same awful collation came damaged.

That was tough to watch homie, but check it out. Imagine that for your whole first year since you got into the hobby. And you seen my first year. Haven't pulled a single hit, the only reason I have a couple of decent cards is because I bought a couple decent singles. My prize card? 2022 Allen & Ginter Chrome pickle mini..... Its so perfect i think im gonna send it to Beckett. I think it would be hilarious af, and awesome if it came back with a tuxedo.

Was this from Dave and Adam’s by any chance? I ordered a 2019 Topps series 2 last year that I opened on camera and it was resealed. I agree with most that this case was most certainly tampered with. I would send the video to them and get a refund/replacement.
It almost seems like that seller damaged the boxes on purpose and knew the collation in which ohtani soto and base acunas come out in. Seems like really long odds to not get an acuna or ohtani base in 7 hanger boxes.

You know just to give online sellers another edge of selling bum packs to us. No not that all sellers are like that but just things that make you go hmmm

That's a bunch of crap. Same collation. Yeah the damaged ones are bangers theory isn't holding up on 18 Update. I can't justify paying the prices for those. Seller might have searched the boxes. Seems off

The pain brother, I feel it with you 😔... I feel like this happens with retail a lot. I have had numerous times when I've bought multiple hangers with the same/mostly same collation (unfortunately one time I remember was series 1 2022, with a bunch of now worthless Wanders, but was pumped at the time). Also, have had this with megas of Bowman Chrome and other products... usually it's been when I buy a bunch of the same product from Walmart now that I think of it 🤷🏻♂️
TKO you were hustled man. No way you received all the same packs on "damaged" boxes. They made enough room to get a flexible camera in the box and see what was in there or something.

Something is fishy! Hangers are just glued shut. Very easy to glue back. Never accept damaged boxes.

Ive had bad luck but there's now way in my opinion that these were definitely searched and broken on purpose. Your alot braver than me sir i would've sent them back. The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Better luck next time.

Cards are funny, you can take a card and chip a corner loading it into a penny sleeve and take it from a 10 to 8 and ive had cards arrived looking like a truck ran them over and be totall fine. You could see alot of the corner damage of these on camera though. I think you have video evidence for a claim. aren't we all 13 year olds when opening cards?
That was tough to watch. My apologies. But, as bad as the cards were there, the content is always great and you take things in stride. At least ON camera. Here is hope to better luck next time!!!

Is there a collation between all the base and the inserts/parallels in the middle of the packs? Honestly, the base cards don’t hold much value. Even in a PSA 10 neither of the big-3 are paying for the box, maybe $100, at most. You did get a fair amount of gold cards, and some foil. The boxes did seem pretty sketchy as far as how they’re all damaged in a very suspect way but unless there’s a way to determine what’s in the center, I’m buying them regardless.

Should’ve noticed the damage pattern with the boxes off the spot. First indicator to possibly repackaged cards and scammed out of the big ones.
