Damn r92 was bad. Fixed my vertical collapse. Thank you for the troubleshooting. Now I must fix the red. I can only see it when I crank up the pot but. The whole screen and background goes red too. Thanks mike !
You’re welcome. My pleasure. Nice job!could be a tube issue. Swap the red transistor with the green and see if the issue changes to green to rule out the transistor.
Ive just had this same issue on my k7000 19" flyback arching, i replaced the flyback for a hr demien brand this time, fired it up and i had partial vertical collapse, my problem was the Vertical ic had gone bad.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair thx. I have Vertical collapse, but the two resistors and the two diodes test good. Just don’t have a LA7831 on hand to check.
I feel like I owe you 280$ for just changing 2 diodes d20 and d21 i think it was to fix a blow fuse on power up and 2 resisters r91 and r92 to fix vertical collapse, thats how much it would of cost me to send those in. 😂 plus shipping so lets say 325$
Excellent videos Ive fixed 2 k7000s one with Vertical collapse one that blew the fuse on start up just from watching a few of your videos.
Your k7000 series is very entertaining…

Nice job.
Any good way to test IC3 other than testing for a ground short ?
Not of which I’m aware. If it’s got a ground short, it’s bad.
