Sir if possible please provide deep information of all topics but my personal favorable topics are 1)Recommended Storage Quantity 2)Material flow chart.

Hi Alvis, Good day to you. your videos are amazing, i have doubt regarding kitting also another doubt peice picking (EA picking) can you please explain how to simply do that picking without fail.
Thank you! There are different types of picking that can happen in a warehouse. Either it is a pallet picking or handling unit level picking or carton level picking or it is piece picking. In a piece picking the individual pieces of a product is picked from the storage unit. In most cases, equipment like order, picker or stock chasers are used. On the second part of your question, please elaborate what is the kind of issue you are talking about?
Thankyou sir, but need to see video on return on investment calculations, how it's done and measure before getting approval for investment on warehouse operation.
Hello Maheshwari. It is a techniques by which a picker completes a track full of picks without repeating a used trail and also in the best possible time. This is just a preview of this technique. Pick path sequencing basically consolidates the picks in a cut off and in a zone and then aligns the pick list in an order such that there is no need to move around and follow a defined path. It can be done even in a spreadsheet model or in a WMS or in a web based tool as well. I have implemented this in all these 3 ways... and feel free to ask me if you have a follow up question. Regards, Alvis Lazarus Supply Chain Consultant
@@SupplyChainWay How Pick Path is applied in the WMS, does it able to pick based on Order, based on Product that the picker can get the items in bulk (many qty) ? What are the options ?
Hello you mentioned a spaghetti diagram what software would you use to design a floor layout? I’d be curious if you have a recommendation that has more inputs like distance and perhaps even volume
Hello Jeremy, in facility layout there is a key section on product flow optimisation. On that criteria spaghetti diagram can be used to optimise the flow while designing. As you might be aware to optimise the flow you need to also consider the type of storages, their positions and their material handling equipments. So definitely spaghetti diagram has a very important role while designing the overall facility layout. Spaghetti diagram can be done in a manual work study method or even you can do it digitally using sensors and then you can build the spaghetti map in Excel or even in tools like Vizio. If you prefer to simulate it, then you need to build a dynamic model in Excel enabling macro or use simulation tools like Signavio view. I trust this helps. Regards, Alvis Lazarus
Hello Thank you so much for sharing such inspiring video and explaining techiniques, I would like to understand all in detail and with a case study , please assist for a training
I will try and make relevant case studies and share here. Having said that there is also a set of videos under the section case studies, please go through them that may provide some additional information as well. Thank you Regards, Alvis Lazarus
Hello Ashmit, the real optimisation challenge starts even before getting the virus in terms of how much space is required. Post that within the decided space how we can use each and every square feet to the best utilisation is the next challenge. Then comes the flow. Br, Alvis
You are asking about RSQ, right? RSQ is the estimation of the ideal inventory to be stored at different stocking points within a supply chain. The method varies when we try to estimate the ideal qty at line side storage, or RM storage or FG storge at DC / warehouse etc. I'm not sure whether is this what you were asking for? Else, please ask a specific question you have on RSQ, I would be able to share related information. Regards, Alvis Lazarus Supply Chain Consultant
Hello Alvis! Thank you so much for making such inspirational videos. I would appreciate if you could explain in detail about dynamic slotting and WMS. Also, do you think dynamic slotting reduces the efficiency of the replenisher if not implemented along with WMS?
Hello Pavan. Sure, I will add this to pipeline. Dynamic slotting if not implemented well in a WMS or any other system or even in excel (which is very much possible), will lead to put away issues. Lots of effort goes in fixing it. So overall putaway time goes up leading to productivity loss. Br, Alvis Lazarus Supply Chain Way
Very well ! You nailed it , Crisp and clear .. thank you for bringing visibility
Glad you liked it! Regards, Alvis
Great video explaining all the aspects of Warehouse optimization techniques in brief and understandable as well.

Nice Explanation
Thank you
Nice and crisp info
Thank you, Avinash.
Would be great if thrown a light on KPI's to be monitored specially in Retail / eCommerce SCM/Warehouse
I will do a vlog on that. Thank you!
Great content! Please explain ABC analysis!
Thanks! Will do!

Hello Alvis, how did you guide for storage of high value item within warehouse ..making it access restricted still follow the productive way
Hello Avinash, There is specialised design for this called the lock and key storage design.

Can you please explain more about pick path sequencing methodology?
How is it really done?
