- Test of my newly acquired Screamer, video was taken awhile back and most is painted, just need to paint that bottom shroud still. Had to rewire it and replace the capacitors and now runs like a top.
Do NOT use my videos without my permission!
that is an incredibly sharp capacitor drop off on the wind down lol. That’s probably the quickest one I’ve heard that isn’t a sentry of some sort if i had to be honest. Good work on restoring it! Looks great so far.
It happened on a Roblox Game too lol It suddenly Drops so fast in its wind down.
Most screamers capacitor's make it wind down like that. Its kinda common from my perspective.
It’s the centrifugal clutch
Congratulations! Seems like every siren enthusiast is getting a siren this summer! I mean, I’m even getting a GCS in a few weeks!
I went to go see some of these earlier today!
reminds of West Harrison fire dept when they had an ACA screamer
Holy crap congratulations on the Aca screamer
Thanks!
the lighting is so weird i thought this was a video game for a second xd
Excuse my language here but that's bad ass.
This aca screamer s7.5 is probably single phase like those sentries.
Looks a lot better than its "original" paint job
Congrats on owning a Screamer
Huh 7.5 screamers like this must be rare, because almost all of these are 2 HP. But awesome acquisition! Sounds and looks good!
this is untrue
I still cannot believe this thing survived the fall!
Invincible
Where did you get that
very nice! You got it looking nice!! I remember how rusty it was lol
that was paint, not rust
appreciate it!
@@CentralIllinoisSirens ahhh. No prob!
shoot me a text on discord later, i’ll send you pictures of it currently when i get home
@@CentralIllinoisSirens Alright
Is this a small scale replica or is this the actual size of one?
It's the real deal. Was thrown off the roof of a building in a scout camp
There is not such thing as small reproductions of sirens like these.
@@United_HVAC_and_Fans Wow! Never knew they weren't very big! Thanks for the clarification!
are screamers really that small?
Yes
i want a screamer, though i want a banshee more so
0:23 why did it slow down so fast? Is it because its single phase?
@@cooldomino1800 that literally makes no sense but if the motor is single phase wouldn't it be the centrifugal switch?
@@cooldomino1800oh okay now it makes sense and I know you know a lot about motors because I watch your videos and they are awesome
The centrifugal switch causes this, it closes allowing the capacitors to recharge.
How big is this?
I thought these were usually 8 port
S7.5s are actually ALL 9 port, 8 ports are S-10
oh damn
I thought 7.5s were 8 port
It is 8 port. EDIT: oh it’s 9 port…huh
It’s 9
@@arizonawarningsirens6067 but it can't be. It's playing the key if C, only 9 port can do that (if it has a 3400rpm motor) 8 port plays B flat (A sharp).
Edit: rip I didn't see the edit
I think this is an S-2 or S-5
Edit: I think it's an S-5 single phase.
Wish I could own one
Ah yes the good ole flying screamer
Karsun loves it
Central Illinois Trains and Sirens liquid township moment
That’s not an S-7.5 as it is 9 port…unless it is 8 port but over sped
It’s a 7.5
7.5HP screamers did come in 9port per the gigantic stack of ACA documents that Justin Olsen collected
It’s a 7.5 per the tag.
That’s an S-2 bruh
Its an S7.5 he owns it so he can just look at the tags
It's a single phase S7.5 which is why it winds down like a S2, since it has a capacitor which discharges at a certain point.
@@rainyrec oh I never knew they had single phase 9 port variants lol
@@radiosnmore1225 The common misconception was that the S7.5's were 8-port, however those were actually 10HP according to literature. The S-2, 5, and 7.5's came in the 9=port configuration, and the S-10 has 8-port as well as 9/12-port
Lmao bro is tryna correct the owner of the siren 💀💀 i think he’d know what model he has
