History and Drive Tour St Mary's KS and the SSPX Community - Catholic or Cult? - Immaculata Church

St Marys is a small town in Kansas that has become the home to the Immaculata Church - the Largest SSPX Church in the World. The SSPX is not a cult but an alternative path for ultra traditionalist Catholics who did not accept changes coming out of the Vatican 11 Council meetings in the early 60's. The Power and Control along with Money was going away and that did not sit well. The history behind St Marys as a town is fairly basic - Seminary relocates and Church falls into ruins. Archbishop Lefebvre buys the property for its central location in the USA and St Marys becomes the high point of worship for all SSPX members around the world. He basically claims himself as a new leader and goes against the Holy See - government of the church headed by the POPE.
