The UK is pretty much a gas station sushi quality experience for Pete.

Thats a lot when you can just get a floor fan for about £50 and you dont need to hook anything up

I feel like it's not really needed here tho, on average.
It has been getting hotter in recent years, sure.
But we all live and make it through every summer without it, it's fine 😅
You open your windows at night for cool air (in jp you can never open windows and it feels so wrong haha) and when you leave the house during the day you put the blinds down.

@@ashketchup7007 That I can believe, but he doesn't strike me as the brainscoopping kind of guy. But then again, neither does Emily from the Brain Scoop.

The worst hotel experience you’ll ever have in Japan is usually waaay better than what you’ll experience anywhere else.

Idk man, I had a pretty shitty experience in JP 😅 it was a townhouse style hotel tho.
Generally I'd agree JP has nicer amenities on a average than some other countries.
But I only had good or at least decent experiences in england, aswell. Even in cheaper hotels, it was ok. No horror stories haha

Glengallan Homestead, near Warwick in south-east Queensland, turned out to have such a cat, discovered in the early 21st century when renovations took place.

When I visited Germany the local next to me at the station said "typical German train. Always late." German rail has a rep.

to be fair, did pete get attacked by a warlock or did the cat thing work?

It's a Dutch national pastime to shit on anything German that's not working, due to a little something that happened a few decades ago. It's just casual banter, they occupy us for a few years, we make fun of their shoes in theme parks, etc

Why the frankfurt airport hate? Berlin was bad, but frankfurt, while big, is decent fast. And while trains in japan are generally good I went there while they had problems and EVERY train was delayed for that day for at least 2h and because every train connects with each other that went for the whole day. It was chaos

Wait wait wait! All these train/urbanism TH-camrs always talk about how great Europe is with their trains. Now I'm hearing they suck?
And why Germany? Don't Germans have a reputation for great engineering and stuff like that? Why are their trains so bad?

Car industry lobbying, half assed privatisation and missed infrastructure investments. And DB is still alright, if you plan with an uncertainty of around 1-2 hours.
