By far my fav part is when you first get captured and you step into the Hanger just flanked by tons of Stormtroopers. One of the coolest moments I've ever had at Disney and with Star Wars.
Agreed fullheartedly! I had made sure to stay clear of watching videos of the actual ride before hand other than the teaser for it, and so all I knew was that you get captured by the First Order and then get rescued. I had no idea how absolutely wild it was going to be. Not to mention the fact that they could have absolutely done a thing where you go in through one door and come out the other, but they went the extra step of making sure it was the same door both times just to really solidify the immersion.
For years I've avoided videos of Rise because I want to experience it for myself, but I see Kyle reacting to Star Wars, i click. We'll need a full recap and review of your experiences at Galaxy's Edge.
I really can't wait to go on this!! When we went to Galaxy's Edge a couple years ago, this had just opened up so it still had the crazy 'be there at 4am to try & get your boarding pass' bull. I really hope it's easier now.
It's impossible to describe the feeling if you get to do this end of the day then get out in time for fireworks then end the night at Ogas. It is actually living in a Star War.
Thanks for posting this. I wasn't able to go on it on my recent trip to galaxy's edge and was regretting that. This way I get to see a bit of it at least.
As Southern California resident and I am glad that you were able to experience Rise of the Resistance. Would you consider releasing your full reaction of the ride?
Its actually very easy for them to do so. You can watch how the whole ride works on disney+ and the documentary about the attraction. It's called "Behind the attraction" and its episode 3: Star Tours.
The magic behind this ride is amazing! I tried to find how we got to the first order ship and couldn't find any tracks above or anything. I may not be a fan of the sequels, but man am I a fan of this ride! I didn't even notice Bendu until he said "We're in an escape pod" 🤣 I'm glad you got to ride it with him.
I believe the way it works is that the interior of the transport you board rotates around like a spoke on a wheel and ends up opposite from where it began, inside the rock face you see from the outside, where the RSD interior sets are. You then exit through a second transport exterior aboard the docking bay set. You just don’t notice it turning because of the simulator elements in the insides d the slower speed it rotated at.
Rise is my favorite ride/attraction in all Disney Parks! I went in April and it was amazing (and knowing a CM we got to go twice in a row hehe). I like the transport ship, love the hangar, AT-ATs, and the drop in the escape pod! Wish we could spend more time in the hangar, but we did get some good photos. Can't wait to go to Batuu again! (Trying to see if Disney Weddings allows marriages in Batuu actually hehe.)
Kyle, did you notice on the ride that in the transport ship, everything that happens in the front of the ship is connected to the screens on the back as well? Also, that there are different paths through the ride.
sorry to be a pooper, but they only thing that bothers e is the mask as he destroyed it in ep 8 and had it repaired in ep 9 but this rtide takes place after ep 8 and before ep 9, can someone help me out
Hope you don’t mind, Kyle, but how was that last twenty seconds in the escape pod? My family and I are going to Disneyland in a few months and would love to do this ride but my mum’s got a bad back and from the looks of the video the jolting could throw her back out. It’s a holiday that we would love to remember fondly, and injuring her back wouldn’t make it the dream holiday that we’d like it to be. As someone who’s ridden on it, how vigorous was the shaking and do you think it could tweak someone’s back if they’ve already got an injury?
I love fans showing their reaction, not the ride, their reaction
This ride is a surreal experience! Disney really put so much detail and love into this ride. One of my favorites!
By far my fav part is when you first get captured and you step into the Hanger just flanked by tons of Stormtroopers. One of the coolest moments I've ever had at Disney and with Star Wars.
That blew me away! I think my favorite was when the fleet pulled in, it just felt so exciting!!

That's exactly how our night went! We caught the fireworks right after the ride, and still had time to build sabers, and go to Oga's!
@@KyleKatarnChannel YES! During the fireworks totes sang the Yub Nub song after a few too many fuzzy taun taun!
Haha that's hilarious because I played it on my phone 🤣
God dammit, Kyle, you're not helping my intense urge to go back to Galaxy's Edge.
Thanks for posting this. I wasn't able to go on it on my recent trip to galaxy's edge and was regretting that. This way I get to see a bit of it at least.
this makes me so happy

It’s still mind blowing to me how you end up in a totally different location by the end of the ride how is that possible!
Its actually very easy for them to do so. You can watch how the whole ride works on disney+ and the documentary about the attraction. It's called "Behind the attraction" and its episode 3: Star Tours.
mankind really did change with the invention of wheels...
So many goose bumps! So glad you all are having a good time
Lol that HAD to be James Arnold Taylor at the end voicing Ackbar. Well done Katarn
I went for the first time in March and I can only hope they’ll do more rides like this with other IP in the future. And the queue is amazing!
I went on this last Wednesday, it was incredible. When Kylo Ren’s lightsaber went through the ceiling I was losing my mind.
I wish they could’ve made the secrets of the empire vr game available to the rest of vrs

@@The2ndQuest That's kinda what I imagine but it's just still done so well.

Fun!!!

You remind me of Clifford riding Larry the Scary Rex ride...
First! Also wasn’t expecting this on your channel 😂
Did you see Boba Fett in Galaxy’s Edge? He just made his debut there.
Haha I rushed over to him for a picture and he put a hand on my shoulder and said "calm down, I know you're excited" 🤣
@@KyleKatarnChannel LMAO. Well, that’s a very Boba Fett-y response.

The shaking wasn't overly intense but I definitely felt it! And the escape pod was mainly the huge drop feeling (which was cool)
Did you get to do Smugglers Run too??
I did it was so much fun!
Terrible
