@@itzel1735 I haven't seen any confirmation I think most people are just assuming b/c of how unusually weak her performance was...not that it was bad - just by her normal insanely high standards of vocal and technical prowess lol - you could tell something was up but what else could it be if not illness? I doubt her voice was still recovering from Friday's performance...she doesn't even sing in a way that we would expert her to need recovery, right?
@@itzel1735 But why would this video be any different than the 7 other performances we've seen her perform live on the same MangoTV channel? In fact, the Set Fire to the Rain performance sounded quite off...and then we get a rehearsal performance (of the same song) that appears to be a cell phone video that sounds almost perfect. I'm not convinced that somehow this performance is her actual voice and all the other amazing performances we've heard live are just that good due to editing, right? That's why it seems more plausible to me that something was going on that caused her to not be at her best on this particular night.

I just think there's a range of excellence we've seen from her - and I know both you and I have seen plenty of it! - and to me the way she was singing and looking during this performance felt below that range to the extent that I assumed it was something more than a bad night. Could be wrong - we may never know nor does it matter as this was long-forgotten after her latest performance!
Well, in the first song, “fur elise”, her energy is a little lethargic, though I initially thought that was intentional. And I’m only now noticing that she was breathing in places here that she didn’t have to before. Other than that, in the past, when I saw this performance. The only clue I had that something was off was that she was dodging some of the harder notes. She seemed completely like herself in “what a woman”. So I don’t really think it’s as bad as people say because most of the issues I didn’t even notice until later on, lol.
I'm an unconditional fan of Faouzia's but it has to be said that this performance is far from her usual standards. The transitions aren't as fluid as usual and there are a few passages where she lacks air, which is rare for her. What's more, her Live version of Fur Elise is such a masterpiece that as soon as it's less so, you wonder. In short, I wasn't convinced by this performance, but it's fine for anyone else, but not for her.
She was sick and also was saving her voice for the competition and she did great even all of this , as a Moroccan. I’m so proud of her.🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
