Yes, it is very hardy for an ultra size dwarf citrus tree. It truly is one of my favorites provides sweet smelling blossoms and plenty of sweet fruits ripe and ready from Dec.- March. We always have a bowl on the table.

Thank you! I think I mostly just got lucky with some Care and attention during the winter months. Protection from that chilly wind with a simple frost blanket and ood old fashioned Christmas lights did the trick I think.

I would give it more phosphorus organic fertilizers to help with producing more blossoms.

Citrus trees like regular watering and are heavy feeders. I wouldn't fertilize it the 1st year but would the 2nd spring with organic citrus fertilzers as they are very heavy feeders from what I have learned. They are also very drought tolerant during rough times but may not fruit without regular watering weekly during extreme heat above 90-95 every other day. If it is planted in a container you have to water it during summer just about everyday. It's much easier to grow citrus in the ground with amended soil so root can develop quickly and water drains nicely as they don't thrive on wet feet. Enjoy growing citrus that grow well in your growing zone. I found Meyer lemons to be pretty finicky with frost and heat but do exceptionally well taken care of in a container.

How does it do in the cold weather ? I planted two Washington navel trees a few months back today it dropped to 25 this morning I covered them up hoping for the best.

Absolutely best they stay protected during winter blast of frost off and on and uncovered for sun during day for optimal growth unless frost blanket is permeable that sun can shine through. This tree all the leaves dropped off for first 2 winters then I added led free Christmas lights as well to warm it up few more degrees and kept them on all night and it worked.

@@joyofgrowing How big was it when you planted it? I just bought a really tiny one at Lowes for $20. My track record is not very good for things surviving in my back yard so I didn't want to spend a lot money in case. It's about 3 - 3 1/2 ft tall and the root ball is only about 4-6 inches in diameter. I'm just about to plant it.

I'm new to the Washington oranges. My kids and i planted one.
    I'm trying to understand,
If u can eat the oranges year around.
Or, just during a window of time?
    Thanks for answers

For 6 months they are available on the tree to harvest and enjoy! From December-April

@@joyofgrowing thank you so much for replying. I forgot to mention that our tree when purchased might have been newer. Maybe about 2 to 3 feet tall. Was not able to communicate with person at selling place due language barrier.
Do you think we'll likely miss this December to April period this time around or next perh, for being too small or of youth still?
As of now, the tree looks rather lifeless, has some green leaves with redish color on them. Even holes with those color leaves. Thanks for help. Appreciate this channel.
