Nice! Hitachi all the way! Used to be a roofer...9 months pregnant even! Was fun, but hard work! Looking forward to the next phase! Smiles and blessings...
I had a hitachi paper collated nailer I used at work and absolutely loved it, worked like a charm but then I discovered bostitch, bough an old one at a pawn shop and then proceeded to buy two brand new framing nailers at Lowe’s. That is another undeniably amazing framing nailer if you’re looking for one to get any job done!
I had to confirm Bostitch was the right stuff since the instructions did specify their own brand for some reason. So thanks for THAT demonstration too.
Wow...even after a few years it looks the same but mine just has a different name on it. I did an unboxing of the Metabo NR83A5 and will be doing a review of it after we finish our current shed project. Loves these guns, wish I would have swapped over sooner!
Great gun, but I prefer my Paslode gas nailers. I have two...a framer and a finisher, and love both. No air compressor to have to lug around, no worry about where to find an outlet for the compressor, no batteries to run out of juice, no stumbling over air hoses, AND good service life on both. I've had the framer for 18-19 years and other than cleaning it 2-3 times I've not even had to do maintenance. There are only two negatives: First, they ARE a bit heavy. 15 years ago, when I was using it daily, it didn't bother me. Now, retired at 62 and using it sporadically as a homeowner, I feel the weight after a few hours. That just means its break time...LOL. Second, the batteries like to work. If you let them sit much (like a homeowner type would, like I am now), in or out of a charger, they die, and Paslode thinks their batteries are made of gold...$45.00 each. Fortunately, if you aren't anal about the battery having "Paslode" on the side of it, a search on Amazon for "paslode nailer battery" will find you a PAIR of brand new ones for $22.00, shipping included for Amazon Prime members. Those Hitachis are good, but my Paslodes are better!...hehehe.
teco nailer is a godsend. before getting a teco nailer, nailing off straps was the most pain in the ass job (all framers know this). now, with a positive placement nailer, it's cake. pop pop pop, 20 nails in the time it takes to drive one by hand. i actually like nailing straps, now that i've got the proper tool
I have a Braid Nail gun and love it. The guns you show are a lot better than my old Stanly. but it is very easy to get parts for because the parts store is in my area
The bump fire or trigger fire selection option is not a new feature and hasn't been for awhile. The method for alternating between the pump fire or trigger fire is different on the new ones but your old gun has that exact same feature it's just a different switch.
Hi Josh, that first nail gun looked like it would be more for a weekend handyman. House is looking good. I have heard a lot of cheaper nail guns aren't very good. That's why I wanted to know what you used.God bless you, Josh.
As he states the Nr 83 is the best one on the market. Ask your tool repair man. I have an almost new 93 that is leaking around the top cylinder head. He said the 93 that shoots the larger dia nails has a lot of repairs and more frequent repairs. The larger dia nails that some of the Civil engineers spec for earthquake framing splits more wood. When building schools in Calif. we had to predrill 1/8 holes before using the "teco" guns.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Hitachi nail guns. It's always helpful to hear feedback from fellow users. I hope you were able to resolve the issues you encountered.
Got mine brand new but didn't get my hook in time when I started work. Bruh... Not having those rafter hooks is a pain. Hitachi tho imo the best framing nailer
nail depth adjustment. some inspectors will not pass shear wall s if the nails are set too deep. one of my old guns has an depth adjustment carriage bolt on the nose. one of the newer ones has the thumb screw adjustment, not the welded add on for the carriage bolt.
I got a Senco framing nail gun years ago because I heard they were good. I used it to build my garage and still have it. I'm going to be building a house this next year or two, depending on how long it takes me, should I be ok with this gun or should I get something new? I know enough about building houses to get this done just don't know much about the tools of the trade because I'm not in the trade anymore.
I upgraded mine a few years ago my Hitachi old model to a new model, and the nail holder magazine is very much upgraded to my old one, which by the way my old one looks just like your new one, and old one both have the old style magazines.I was always getting nail jams and those old style magazines but the new ones are great, however I noticed this video came out in 2018 so what gives?
I bought the same brand but my gun has a 30 degree angle and it takes the paper nails the number nr90ad S1 I do not know what that means they also had one it took the plastic on the nails which one is better
what brand of nails do you find to work best in the a3. I use the grip rite from home depot and they dont feed correctly sometimes. For my hitachi 7/16 stapler, i have to use hitachi brand staples or else it will not feed. Locally, i have not found any other brand that will work with my stapler.
I just came across your Channel and watched a couple videos I really find you knowledgeable and educated in construction I'm hoping you can help me I've never purchased a decent job site compressor I'm looking for electric and 15 amps or less. If possible something that can run 2 framing nailers or 2 Roofing guns at a moderate pace does something like this exist or am I asking too much thank you for any help you can provide me... all I have found that on paper sound good is the Makita mac5200, the rolair vt25big, in the 4.5 gallon DeWalt d55146
Nair gun freeze up. When building in freezing weather you need a moisture separator on your compressor. We used to keep one nail gun and hose in an old cooler with a 500 W work light and have to swap them out every 15 minutes. NO moisture separator.
Do a tool bag tour! Maybe a hammer video too!
Nice! Hitachi all the way! Used to be a roofer...9 months pregnant even! Was fun, but hard work! Looking forward to the next phase! Smiles and blessings...
Really? That’s surprising…

Thinking of it too.
Hitachi still making the best framing gun out there surprise
I thing Paslode ! reasonbuy.com/best-cordless-framing-nailer/
I love my coil nailer they weigh a bit more but no carrying nails in your bags 250 between reloads but stick nailer is my second choice
I had to confirm Bostitch was the right stuff since the instructions did specify their own brand for some reason. So thanks for THAT demonstration too.

We use a palm nailer for the bracket nailer and it works amazing
There’s a gun for them now
Bout time!!!
(I'm your #1 follower!!!)
PPE - Always!!!
Real framers have a Sky Hook!
Oil them weapons in morning and @ lunch!
¡Love that Tico Gun!

The pas load gas and new battery no gas always break after 1 or 2 boxes of nails that's my luck with them and production framing with no air is crazy
@@jackmehoff1565 ya can’t production frame without a pneumatic

Just use eye protection those damn things
Nailing hangers by hand was also one of my first jobs as a helper. Finally they let me use the teco and wow, what a miracle!
They were fucked up for letting u do it by hand 😂😂and cool at the same time because time is money
I have fat fingers and waste more time than nails doing those f$#kers
I have a Braid Nail gun and love it. The guns you show are a lot better than my old Stanly. but it is very easy to get parts for because the parts store is in my area
My metabo htp ads90 something drives in 3 1/4 inch into lvls like a breeze. Great gun

Good review . Thank you.
Beautiful knowledge
Really appreciate it 🙏
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Pricey but seems very worth every penny. I hope hitachi sells a costco version for us weekend wannabe warriors!
Works very well
like this video but gotta ask....WHERE'D YA GET THOSE DOPE OVERALLS???? LOL.....

I have 3 hitachis (2) nr83a2(s) and one 83a3 with the black labeling and it did gave me issue.

What Air Compressor do you use?
Is the steel nail mag better than the aluminum nail mag on the framing nailers?
Where is the A5 made At? I like the A2 because it made in Japan...
Taiwan. It’s still hitachi quality just literally different name.
Winter is trying to hang on. I have retired nail guns that been running for 40 years but they sure heavy compared to this new stuff.

I have the A5 but still use the after market flush attachment inspectors in Denver are very picky with shear nailing
who did the cripples above that opening?? looking at the tape backwards or something
Gracias

What do they cost new and what’s a fare price to buy at a pawn show for a used one in good shape ??
New they are about $350.00 and the pawn shop could be about half of that price $150.00 ish
@doc hall Where?
What’ air pressure do you normally run for framing on that gun?
We try and stay right at 120 psi

Tou Yang interchange brand staples are good too
Whats your Intro song?
Looks good!!!
Can you still buy Hitachi? Everything I see is Metabo HPT.
No, only used Hitachi.
Good video instruction!
How is your own homestead coming along ?
Do you oil daily?
Yes and yes
what's the name of the nail guns that can use just about any nails because I'm putting together wooden pallets I want to know cause I want the best ?
Short answer: none
Good video.

Wow, where is this? I haven't seen a white framing crew in years.
Were in North Idaho and we've never seen a framing crew with a heavy sunburn.😉🛠😎
Come to Denver
You should have put that gun in your description below.
Good idea, thanks 😊
Price
Please take a lot of video on your timber frame.
When did you hit 10K Subs???
Yesterday!!
Real n pro framers always use hitachi nailers
Of course, your air tools are only as good as the air compressor that fuels them. Perhaps you could do a video on air compressors.

With that tico gun don't use paper strip nails the positive placement isn't there Cruz u can't see the nail tip
Have you watched The Crazy Framer from Canada. He's building his house by himself with no help. Check out his channel.
