Have bought the same PSU. Tried to figure out what is going on with this cable. Good to see I'm not alone. Also I have 1 question. The 3rd PCIE cable, is it being plugged into the +12VHPWR slot?
@@drdiscostu Did the criss cross thing and it worked like a charm. Fully modular made it a breeze for cable management. Even got to use the new 12 pin connector since the cable was adaptable for all types of GPUs.
Hi, I just bought this psu 1 week ago. The motherboard cable is now sleeved, not flat, and the crossing is not visible anymore. very quiet psu with 0 rpm mode that can be activated or not. Even with the flat cable version, i don't think it is a big deal to have a crossed cable as long as the crossing doesn't weaken the cable.
Do you think it’s a good quality psu and will it last? I think of using this psu for my 4070 ti and wanted a psu with native 12vhpwr cable. Thanks in advance!
@Myloh_YT Always quiet so far. MPG is the midrange quality of MSI. The PSU range bellow (mag) is recommended by all the influencers i saw so far. 850W is more than the 700w advised by Nvidia for the 4070TI. When you see 10 years of warranty on a psu you can suppose the vendor is confident enough about his product. So following my expertise and all the info i have collected, i'd said yes.
I have the same PSU. I wanted to change the cables, someone suggested that I could get Corsair type 4 M series, since both PSUs use the same pinout. I don't want to use and extension and I don't want to fry anything or make a fire
@@yakoyark Hey, I finally plugged the cable in. The 24p cable is a 20+4 cable, so you can split the cable into two parts (at least here in Europe). It´s for older MBs because they only have a 20p connection. First of all I plugged the 4p cable into the MB and wiggled it a bit. Then I removed the 4p cable and did the same thing with the 20p cable. After removing the 20p cable I reconnected the 20p and 4p cable and plugged the 24p cable into the MB. Hope it works for you, but be careful!
Hello friends, i have a problem with this msi mag, the 2x8 cable for the cpu does not fit in my motherboard msi b650 idk why, so i use another 1x8 câble and fit why ?
Hello please respond. How many pcie 6+2 cables does it come with? I’m gonna buy this psu but i can’t figure out all the cables that comes with it. How do i figure out all the cables it comes with?
LOL i just received this yesterday and was trippen out why it was crossed. Nice to know im not the only one.
Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered this psu.
MSI officially told me it was fine/recommended to criss cross them. This error might not be on all versions of the PSU though.
@@drdiscostu it arrives tomorrow. I'll post an update.

@@changedpepe7745 The +12VHPWR is for GPUs.
Installing this right now... I was seriously wondering if i was going crazy or if i just got a faulty part. Guess not lol
I’m having a blast connecting it to my motherboard….😢 i hate every second of it.
@@NEFF1OF1 don't blame you. this IS the hardest part of PC building
I was exactly wondering the same thing hahaha, thanks for the video!
Sorry I missed this comment but MSI officially said it's fine and just criss cross the cable
Mine is even more convoluted, they are on different rows!

I am a novice at this but I don't think mixing cables from PSU's is a good idea.
Never put any pc parts on a bed, carpet, etc because static can damage it
Oh no haha and I ordered that psu but at least it's functional
i have a1000g pcie5 version..no issue at all
are there 2 separate wires 8 pin - 8 pin for the video card?
Hello, is it me, or is it extremely difficult to push the 24P cable into the motherboard? Even when I push really hard, it won´t get in...
No issue with that cable for me but it could be your motherboard
Same thing here

Its so strange but i read at official website that if the use of psu not more than 40% the fan won't turn ...so its totally fine i guess 🤣
