I've read about Audrey..I've seen her movies...heard her charming voice, and seen clips of her and how she cared about impoverished people's, especially children. If there were anyone that deserved to have happiness, it was her...she had happiness, but She also had great sadness...maybe to much sadness.
A great interview.!!!! Glad that Terry Gross had very sensible questions, not intrusive at all.!!!! And always hearing Audrey's lovely voice is a pleasure.!!
Even if she was raised by Victorian parent that taught her good manners, there is still that authenticity in spirit that manners alone can never reveal.
Audrey was not "British born", she only had e British passport through her absent father, but was born in Belgium, moved with her Dutch mother to The Netherlands, where she grew up during the war from age 10-18, and moved to London in 1949, so she was more Dutch than British, which fact the Brits obviously don't like.

She aged beautifully!! These photos are touching!!
Elegant, well-spoken, and modest. One in a billion. But she sounded tired. I suspect she pushed herself too hard at times. She is missed. R.I.P.
Miracle of beauty and humanity.
What a lovely Lady ...She was everything ....
Gorgeous and beautiful inside and out, ❤️💐

Audrey Hepburn was a gift from God to so many.
