  • Have been wondering what is that red pipe looking thing in Forza Horizon 5 '92 Mazda 323 GT-R DLC car dashboard, there was no such thing in my real '90 323 Sedan.
If you wonder about the black thing in my real 323 pic, that just barely shows up in the passenger foot well, it's mains voltage electrical socket for interior heater.
The 323 GT-R in Forza Horizon 5 game is accurately modeled however, I've seen photos of real 323 GT-R's in internet with the same red pipe looking thing, but haven't been able to find out what is that weird part, does anyone know? :)
While at it, putted together some comparison shots too between this virtual 323 and the real 323 I once had. For example the dashboard and instrument cluster look the same at first glance, but there are differencies, besides the obvious LHD vs RHD difference ;)

that red thing could be an emergency flare because I think it's required to be in a car in japan

That's interesting, didn't know that. Thanks again quirkypedia 😉

Correct. There is a flare holder built into that kick panel on the RHD cars.

Years ago I did, the 1982 323 has been removed from registry in 2004, which can mean it's either destroyed, or it's rotting somewhere forgotten. The 1990 323 I recycled myself in 2008.
The 2001 Micra was still in use when I last checked, and so was the 2011 Suzuki Alto, I even once saw it myself in one parking lot.
