Papaji saying "yeh technical nahi hai, dil se hota hai" absolutely made my day!!! any art or skill peaks when the transition happens from technical or process to "gut feel" or "Dil se". Loved the video, not just for the chai but for the father son chemistry.

05:46 "technical knowledge nahi hai, ye dil se hai, dil se..."
The entire art of cooking summed up in a sentence. Put your heart in whatever you make, even if it is a cup of tea, and you'll have something you thoroughly enjoy.
    Thanks Papaji and Ranveer...

Tea times are magical in my opinion because they bring people close. I saw this video half an hour ago and since it is our tea time here, followed the simple, but classic recipe. I had stopped drinking tea a few months ago owing to my sugar problem. But since Papaji said,"dil se", l decided to break my "tea upvas"today and made 3 cups, which were just finished by me, my mother in law and husband. And, they want some more now, which l will make after writing my comment to you. Thank you and God bless you.

This is just so so beautiful on so many levels. The sentiments in this shoot I feel totally nailed the essence of sharing a cuppa chai - taking time out to appreciate your family and where we come from, evident in the fact that every family's chai recipe is unique and that it has been handed down through different hands to you. Nicely done, Ranveer - you give a whole new meaning to the phrase comfort food. Big love from a big fan and desi home cook from NZ :)

Oh so touching!! it wasnt just sharing a cuppa but so many memories too. Brought back memories of my annual childhood trips to pahad to our ancestral home and all of us sitting around the fire and sharing our morning cup of tea with grandparents aunties and uncles. This is why we Indians are so unique as we share our family bonding with these simple little pleasures that make our personalities so wholesome.

Every house has its own tea recipe, process, water and milk proportions, adrak, elaichi, etc.. By showing this episode, more than the tea recipe I guess you have brought out other things to the fore which is very nice concept. Loved it

I finished this video and realised it was never about showing how to make tea at all. It was about making us realise there's such a great treasure of wonderful, emotional stories that bind relationships, all hidden in our elders' memories. Our dharma is to absorb it and never let it fade.
More than ever, I'm missing my parents now. Took my time with them for granted and now that they are gone there's no way to bond with them.
Thank you chef. This is perhaps your best video ever. Wish you all a healthy and hearty life ahead.
