Ridley is one of the top 5 coolest characters in the game and nobody can change my mind.
Absolutely. His down b is him literally stabbing you in the pelvis with his tail, his final smash is him knocking you onto Samus’ ship and killing you both, and the mfer killed Mario and Mega Man, 2 gaming icons in seconds.

I'm just gonna say it, Ridley still remains one of the most hype newcomers in Ultimate. Been wanting to play Ridley in Smash since the intro video to Melee and now I actually can! Even now I still think it's surreal Ridley is finally playable in Smash Bros.

The ONE time I was impressed by Min Min was when Proto faced Tweek and he killed him for using Diddy side b really high up by hitting him with an aerial up b, and even then I think I was only impressed because I legit forgot that move existed.

Last Saturday in France we had the first local big tournament of the year, it was insane, Mezcaul the main Riddley won, in this tournament there was a lot of french tops (Leon (I believe he's known even in the US), Flow (best Roy EU), NaetorU (top 2 Pichu in the world, it's between him and Nietono), Crêpe Salée (biggest french hope, he's 14 and he 3-0'd Chag with Wario), Neeroz (I believe he's best Pikachu EU), Ryukai (he eliminated Chase and Fatality at Doubledown), Modzai (best Pacman EU, he beat Fatality and Luugi at VCA))
The WF was Mezcaul vs Billbol a King K Rool main with a Kazuya secondary who was seed 38 (he finished 3rd beaten by NaetorU in LF)
Yeah Mezcaul is really good. He used to train wirh Gluto right? His patience let's him abuse Ridley's range.

I know this isn't a Kazuya vid but my friend plays Donkey Kong against my Kazuya and will just grab me and throwbme against the stage. Over and over. Literally just my whole stock. And idk how to get around it. Because Donkey Kong is just fast enough to get away from my moves, but do y'all have any tips? Because he gets such a big head and rubs it in my face that he killed me with the same thing for the 15th time but I can't land my moves fast enough to do anything (and I just want to shut him up really)
Stay in the air, donkey kong can't grab in the air! Also learn to tech the cheese, he won't know what to do if you survive
i survive up until like 50-60% with techs but he just goes back to it. Plus the only moves I can stay safe with are the lazers, which he'll just dodge through, and super armor which will just go right through him since he'll usually use a dash attack before grabbing me.
my tip for dk is to stay at like the 11 oclock position and to get your spotdodge timings right, teching is helpful too but mostly just dont let it be you haha. stay frosty

@@ciscokid5966 try to get him offstage and edgeguard him from above. DK recovery is very predictable and slow, which as a ridley main is something I've learned to exploit (stand on ledge and shoot fireballs). I'm glad you know how to tech tho because that's really important in these kinds of scenarios. Keep practicing you got this!

Ridley is one of the few new smash characters that wouldn't be out of place if they were introduced in Melee or Brawl. Many of the new additions from Smash 4 and Ultimate feel like they're breaking the rules of the game or posses some unique gimmick or comeback mechanic that the rest of the cast lacks.
