I’m learning more and more these days that companies never want to admit they’re wrong or could ever do wrong. Blow my mind how much money they make and then they’re like…. Nope. No refund available. HOW. HOWWW. Anyway - hope everything works out okay~
yep exactly, like uuugh it took me going to the usps for them to actually tell me what was going on (After calling them everyday for a week) and I didnt even get a sorry.. and the fact that they then tried to turn it on me and say that ~well maybe someone stole it~ was beyond me. I was infuriated. aah! But welp, it's all done now, i have a new shiny passport, and a really nice memory of visiting Philly :)

Recently came back from a trip to Philly, and was so sad to leave. There are so many things to do and good food to eat. Glad you enjoyed your short time in Philly!

Recommendations for the next time you come^^ more time is definitely needed. Highly do not recommend doing this all in one day~
♡Visit Mount airy, Germantown and Chestnut hill these are areas even some Philadelphian are not aware of. Beautiful really old buildings and lots of fun stores and friendly people there
♡Visit Uncle Bobbie's coffee and books it's a cute black owned bookstore in historical Germantown
♡Visit Penn's landing in the summer time the have free firework shows and Jazz festivals every friday. In the winter there is an ice-skating rink right next to the waterfront.
♡Visit South street for good food and nice walking to neat shops with all kinds of one of a kind store.
♡ Visit chinatown. Has a variety of Asian cuisine and all are tasty~You actually were very close to it when getting your passport
♡Visit the cherry street pier, it's a hidden quiet place you can visit to hang with friends and enjoy a beach like experience by being by the water
♡Visit Franklin Square they have a mini amusement park including a very old carousel and mini golf course
♡ You can walk on the Ben Franklin Bridge if you walk by the back end of chinatown by the Franklin Square park and get a beautiful view of the city over the water and you might catch the train running under your feet. Only need to go up about halfway~
♡best club in town is Woodies great drinks and nice selection of music separated by different rooms~
♡and the museums~ all our museums are great! We are a college town so we have a bunch. If you go to the Philadelphia art museum you can go to the anex and rodin museum for free as a joint ticket that lasts 2 days~ your welcome🥰
♡ Visit walnut street downtown for shopping and chestnut for a variety of yummy restaurants and bars
Lastly what about cheese steaks right?
Any place in philly that does pizza does good cheeses steaks so go to those not the tourist traps on south street~

If you ever visit again there’s quite a few awesome thrift shops near Philly Aids Thift, one being Raxx Thrift. South Street has some pretty cool spots to explore

Try and get a hold of the PostMaster they owe you a refund and cost of the item. No excuse if it was certified and they didn’t collect a signature. Make sure you relay that they admitted the postal carrier was new and may have lost it. That’s your money, time and it caused a lot of stress.

Omoi zakka is one of my fav lil shops and Philly AIDS Thrift is such a wonderful spot, they do free HIV testing for the community. Also our city's covid restrictions have been different from others bc most cafes aren't letting anyone sit inside still TT glad you were able to fine a cute spot that I didnt even know about! I hope you visit Philly again!

Making a day trip out of a shitty situation is just such a mood. Also did that once when I accompanied a friend to a doctors appointment halfway through our country hours away because the doctors in our city were kind of incompetent back then. Worked out in the end but still could have saved us from having to sit in a bus for 10 hours one way if it hadn't been like this.

OMG - the State Dept and USPS have been a NIGHTMARE during the entire pandemic. I'm so sorry this happened to you! No joke, my South Korea trip with my best friend was in the whole month of August. She had to get her passport expedited at the LA passport agency, and because of the whole fuster cluck, she got her passport TWELVE HOURS before we boarded the plane to Incheon ☠️
I go to school in Philly and I’m like- I know that place! I’ve been on that street! I’ve seen those places and regretted walking on cobblestone with certain shoes lol 💖💖💖

Omggg I hate when stuff like this happens! I had to pay for someone elses mistake and ironically it was the PA DMV! They mustve mistyped a number and they accidentally made my liscense as if it wasnt available bc I died... I had to pay 80 bucks to reinstate it even tho it wasnt my fault. If youre ever in Philly and need a ride from the airport I gotchuu 🙏🏻🌟🔥 hope you enjoyed the city of brotherly love!

Omg that sounds like a nightmare😭 If your your mail was insured, you should bring this issue up further and get your refund. I would ask to speak someone higher up ( You literally need to Karen their butt😂)
That's the thing, social security never put insurance on that mail 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒. Yo i went to my congressman and they still said #nah. I put a complaint everywhere i could aaaand nothing 🥴🥴🥴🥴

Despite this USPS horror story, we must support USPS to make sure Louis DeJoy does not succeed in privatizing the Mail System (which would be detrimental to many Americans who rely on the mail for paychecks, medicine, ect).
