    Ok, I just love how she's using things that I would have laying around to make impressions with, or things that don't cost much. I can get bubble wrap, and cardboard from the trash at work, and plastic wrap from the dollar store. Glad I watched this.

    Really helpful, especially for my GCSE!
    I personally wouldn't use every technique at the same time, however two or three layered up look cool!

    Also, these techniques are brilliant!! You hardly used any store bought items to create your design. Very inspiring. I'm going to look at every object I pick up as a potential stencil/background creator in future. Well done!

    This is so amazing. I thought it‘s so sad about the ruined journal pages just to show the different techniques...but the pages look so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and I‘ll definitely try to put more layers on my next page. 😁

    Hi Jodi, I love the techniques you've shared here ☺ stencils are my favourite way to add pattern & colour right now but I go through phases of loving different techniques and mediums! I love your aussie accent too!

    I feel super intimidated by this process. I feel like I would do it and think it's just messy even tho I like it when other people do it... I think I need to just do a bunch of pages and get over it.
    Thanks for the techs

    Is retarder medium the same as gesso? I'm really, really new to all this.

    • @JodiThompsonHard
      @JodiThompsonHard  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      gesso is a sealer and primer and is used to prepare a surface to take paint. it comes in white, black and clear. Retarder medium is clear and mixed with acrylic paint to keep it wet for longer than normal so you can keep working with it.
