Also, these techniques are brilliant!! You hardly used any store bought items to create your design. Very inspiring. I'm going to look at every object I pick up as a potential stencil/background creator in future. Well done!

I feel super intimidated by this process. I feel like I would do it and think it's just messy even tho I like it when other people do it... I think I need to just do a bunch of pages and get over it. Thanks for the techs
gesso is a sealer and primer and is used to prepare a surface to take paint. it comes in white, black and clear. Retarder medium is clear and mixed with acrylic paint to keep it wet for longer than normal so you can keep working with it.
