I love that you - and some other mixed media artists - are moving in the direction of utilizing negative space. You describe it so well: a place for the eyes to rest. Great piece!

I do have shiny object syndrome with craft supplies. I came up with an idea for my cards I would make my friends and family and bought what was needed and to this day I have forgotten to include it with the cards 🤦‍♀️🤣I love mixed media. So glad I found your channel. Thanks for the lesson. ☮️❤️

Loved your tip about the gauze pads. Im in New Zealand and we don't have anything in fabric like this. Very handy to know and try, thanks.

Oh , I’m so glad I found you! Your tips & tricks are so helpful. And I love DiY art shimmers and gesso. Thank you so much for teaching me about white space in my art! That’s so hard for me because I’m a color junky. Lol, this video really helped me . When you said, only 3 colors is all I need, my eyes opened wide. My last background had 7 colors. And then I get stuck and don’t know what to do next. I’ve only been doing this since Oct 2018. I’ve already made 2 art journals, 2 junk journals, and a ton of art cards, unfinished because I’m not sure how to do embellishments & focal points. I have so much fun doing it. I just love it. So, thank you for giving so much of your Art experience.

Thank you, I have been intimidated by all the products people use for art journals, so thank you so much for talking about using what we have around the house! I read somewhere to use an old hardback book, so that is where I started. I am just using things in my art area, and you have given me so many ideas! Thank you!

I just found you & watched for the first time and am so glad I did. I absolutely love this spread it is so beautiful. You described me to the tee about buying up supplies and not using them for fear of something won't look good. I'm on a mission this year to get into my stash and get busy creating. LOL. I can't wait to see more of your creations b/c this one sure did inspire me. I loved the whole layout and especially the colors! Do you do anything in bling , such as glitter ? Thanks again & happy crafting!🎨🎨🎨

Thank you for this vide o I’m just adding texture and paint into my Junk journals ( which I’ve only been doing for 2 1/2 months now ) I am making my pages separate for the art and texture because my JJ is getting too full and my paint will run, but I felt the need to put more variety in it so here goes nothing ….I love that you use intuition…to me it’s the only way to create!

The problem with hairsprays as sealers is many of them yellow over time and aren't always safe for works that need to be acid-free. It's not made quite the same way as varnishes or gloss mediums.
