What i love about GoH is that basically every soldier has a chance against any unit. A normal Soldier can pick up an Anti Tank weapon or even just a molotov to burn the motor of a tank while in other games you need a dedicated unit to do just that and any Rifleman squad would be annihilated by one simple tank without AT support.
After watching your video, I thought: maybe there is a good conquest mod where the battle is slower, more infantry based, less tanks and artillery (but not infantry only)? I'm a 1k hour GoH player but never used mods. On the other hand, I would like more infantry based conquest.
Yo, you need to tell this mod developer to remove that Panther APC with the 75 mm howitzer. Makes absolutely zero sense why would you chop a panther up and put a less powerful less maneuverable gun platform on it without a turret. Unless they are going for historical accuracy in the terms that Germans never thought things like this through and we’re very inefficient in their vehicle designs.
The Katzen is its own chassis built from the Panzer 38t, and serves as an APC, just like how the Germans mounted howitzers on their halftracks, such as the sdkfz251/9, so too does this katzen variant
@@ikat_tracer granted I did not know this platform exited. My point still stands it is a piss poor design which ignores the threat of air burst artillery I’d like to add.
@@dyllanalford5276 very cool I had no idea about this prototype. Makes sense in terms of German doctrine why they wanted more of these mobile gun platforms/apc’s I also like how they would have recycled the outdated 38(t). They would’ve been smart to cover the top to protect from overhead shrapnel which I’m pretty sure Americans suggested after reviewing the 251 design.
Just got call to arms ostfront no dlc but i did get the base game still stuck on mission 4 cause mission 3 for the germans is bugged but i really enjoy the game alot, grew uo watching my brother play company of heros 2 i played it some bit was too young to understand how to really play but basically iv craved a game like this for awhile i mean the fact i can take control over any soldiers or emplacement is just amazing oh oh and the fact you dont need a fuckin truck to move arty peices they actually let you lift the bitch and slowly move it, i aint never played an RTS game that allowed that oh oh and that the individual soldiers have their own inventories or can search the dead enemy or friends for ammo and grenades each piece pf equipment is the same with having an inventory aka it's pretty badass game
dudde fr this game gives you so much freedom when you play. I just got into the game recently and its insane how many different viable ways you can approach the objectives. Not sure if you've tried it out yet but i found the dynamic campaign to be more fun than the standard singleplayer missions. It really opens up the floodgates with mods especially lol

Same thing in MoW
Ah yes...that transport vehicle was on a Pz38t chassis...you can tell by the bogie wheels
Please do more videos on this mod! 🔥
Great showcase, thanks once again @Shermanator!

8:00 People who play and love the game should actively promote Gates of Hell: Ostfront.
Shermanator has promoted GoH from the very start, a great example tbh. He's part of our success for sure.
Do soviets get some cool new stuff to?
@@miko886 this is a good question, I'd have to ask the dev or look into that
Hi Sherm. Good stuff.
Cheers bud
Tbh, Gates of Hell is one of the best WW II RTS games, if not the absolute best RTS game available to date! (2025)
I think the answer to your title would be Company of Heroes, imo Mow/Goh isn't exactly that mainstream.
Endsieg mod or MACE mod. When it comes to cool vechicles
MACE sucks, every battle in conquest is endless arty spam from AI

@flamegame848 no, its somethink similar to what I looking for? More Infantry, less tanks conquest?

@@noelmorris5807 in conquest yes, which this is, sp
The chassis on the vehicles kind of look like the leopard light tank but slightly modified

You just don't understand mechanized warfare.
Or tanks, because it's not even a panther chassis.
