The big screws that hold the door latch look like Phillips, but they are JIS (Japan Industrial Standard). A Phillips screwdriver will not seat into the screw as deeply as may be needed. If the screws don't come out reasonably easily, consider getting a JIS screwdriver, or impact driver. It won't be cheap but if you strip the screw you will be wishing you had spent the money. I found that even after damaging a screw, a JIS impact driver removed it. Also, if you are replacing your first one door lock actuator, it won't be long until you are doing three more.
