This is a fascinating episode, we meet CYN (as mentioned in last episode), we see that humans (presumably) are blacked out silhouettes in the murder drones' memories, perhaps for security reasons? We learn that Tessa rescued broken drones and repaired them when she was younger, and that she was abused by her parents (chained up, and from the way she rubbed her arm, it didn't seem like it was the first time), we also learned that the green robo-roach is the key to whatever Tessa (yes, the human at the end of this episode and episode 3 is Tessa... presumably the same as in N's memory) and J mk.2 is after...and we're STILL left with more questions than we had at the beginning of the episode! Classic Liam Vickers!
environmental story telling up to this point 1) in rare cases a Drone can self-reboot, resulting in Cyn/the Absolute Solver taking control (a Zombie Drone) 2) Tessa managed to Reboot, N J and V with minor issues, they are connected to the Absolute Solver but retain control 3) all instances of Cyn seem to be aware of what each other knows 4) the Astronaut is Tessa 5) the Zombie J in Episode 2 was Cyn
With all the comments and videos, i think the Absolute solver is the OS the robots are running their sentient. CYN is just a drone, whose solver (OS) got mutated, making her own version of OS. Somebody here mentioned that error 606 in systems means multiple OS found, error finding itself. So like they have their original solver (OS), and also are infected by CYN's OS, making their system unsure which one to run. And Cyn just didn't infect N because she liked him, and that's why he is the few who is awake. So the lobotomizing is really the deletion of the original OS, and replacing it with her own. As we see in ep2 that version of J was infected by Cyn's OS as we saw in ep5 when she took control. And maybe that's why she had that flesh thing in herself and CYN itself. In another video somebody mentioned that in the end of ep5, for a short when N and V wakes up, their visor says CYN removed, UZI added, so like she installed her own solver (OS) in them, probably making them free from CYN's taking control over thing. And yeah UZI, Doll and CYN are just different mutated version of the original solver, making them their own OS.
Fun fact: Crows invented fetch. N wouldn’t have to teach it to them. They did a study where they tried playing fetch with wild wolves that had never interacted with humans before, and over half of them understood was going on immediately: this is because crows socialize with wolf pups in the wild, forming friendships that last into adulthood, and crows are one of the few animals known for inventing new forms of play.
Just before N and V wake up their face screens are yellow and show lines of code, of which reads CYN as system admin. Then they turn purple now with darkXwolf17 as system admin. I'm pretty sure this means they're free from CYN and she can't take them over again like we saw her do to other robots in the episode.
13:26 the episode is supposed to be from the perspective of N's (and I guess V's) corrupted memories so they have trouble remembering details about humans.... but if you ask me, I'm pretty sure it's so the animators can get away with not making them super realistic (like how they did with the human hand and all the skeletons on the worker drone's planet)
Hi @kirbysuniverse. Your reactions with Kyle on Helluva Boss Pilot and Episodes 1, 2 and most particularly your hilarious reaction to Verosika in 3 are what made me sub to this channel. Now x amount of months later, I've binged several of Kyle's playlists to completion (watching over 300 videos in 3 weeks), become a Patreon of his, become a valued voice of reason/chaos on Twitch, making new friends along the way. So thanks. Also mentioned you to Verosika's VA, Cristina Vee, when I had a meeting with her about her joining us for a few concerts. So now Verosika and Angel Dust know you exist.
Ok so my theory is that Cyn IS the absolute solver. I also think “the exponential end” refers to that it has the ability to reverse entropy, which would kind of explain it’s abilities.
You know, I personally believe the humans are all silhouetted because the Drones were programmed to not even perceive them. Like, they're so far beneath the humans they're not even allowed to comprehend them, or something to that effect. Whatever, it's always to see you guys at it with good stuff. You're here to make us smile, and that's sure as hell what you do
You may be right, considering one of the posters in the nurse's office in the pilot (the "where does it hurt" one) refers to humans as gods that abandoned them. A mental block (figuratively speaking) on them perceiving humans in any kind of detail would be right in line with that. Though I also think there's a decent chance it's also because Cyn is trying to prevent them from remembering anything about their past, which would naturally include what the humans looked like. From a storytelling perspective, it could even explain why the mansion felt so spatially weird and the actual look of the mansion interior kept changing (could be whatever code Cyn left behind in the drones / possibly Uzi's interference was causing things to change, complicating their ability to accurately recall things even further).
One suggestion for future episodes, rewatch the previous episode beforehand. You might also want to rewatch the opening intro of the VHS video, it provides a lot of insight on what happens in this episode. Basically, Uzi hacked into N and V's memories as there's a program running (either the Absolute Solver, or Cyn using the Absolute Solver) that routinely resets (corrupts) their memories after a certain amount of them have been recovered/restored. Due to Uzi's interference the reset process didn't work as planned and so Cyn/Solver took more drastic methods, especially when N's kindness caused V to start to reboot.
@@theduckgoesmoo Huh, have you tried watching the video on a different device/browser? If you really need to, you can try downloading the episode and watching it offline just to get rid of the glitching. I have never seen anyone else encounter this issue, so I'm mostly just as lost as you.

I don't understand everything happening here but I'm pretty sure the JC Jensen backstory was something J made up. She already talked in business phrases before becoming a murder drone so I'm guessing she was originally built as a normal drone for the JC Jensen company but then thrown away. Tessa was a genius human girl from a rich family who found and repaired broken drones as a hobby. These drones became both her servants and friends. Her parents disapproved but didn't stop her from doing it so long as her drones didn't annoy them. Then Tessa found and salvaged Cyn who turned out to be far more than an ordinary machine. Cyn developed some weird reality bending powers that I'm guessing stem from solving some esoteric equation for the fabric of reality. Or maybe this whole series is set in a simulated reality and Cyn learnt to hack it. The details of her powers origin don't really matter at this point. Cyn was grateful to Tessa but came to hate her parents and potentially the rest of humanity as well. During that party she killed every human in the house except Tessa. I really can't guess what happened after that. I can't even figure out whether the murder drones were killing workers on Cyn's orders or Tessa's. I feel like Tessa makes more sense but Cyn's the one who repairs the murder drones when they're too badly broken. Either way I feel pretty sure at this point that it wasn't just some company telling them to do this. J probably needed to make up some coverstory for what they were doing and defaulted to using her past in the lie. Honestly not sure what to believe at this point. I'm not even sure this story is set on a different planet now. For all we know that's part of the lie and this is just earth after most of humanity was wiped out.

[TL:DR - My Asperger's shows hard here. I tried to make this as coherent as possible. IDK if I achieved it] This series we are basically as in the dark as Uzi is. Every episode we get 5% of answers and 95% more questions. This episode we get a little bit more info than usual, with likely next episode getting a lot more explanation as Tessa and a revived J likely can explain everything to Uzi and N. Because even the facts that Uzi knows, like the mining disaster that killed all the humans on Copper 9 may not be accurate according to V in episode 2. So far this series's lore has to inferred by reading between the lines and theory crafting, and depending on how well the future episodes explain things (if they even do) you may need to seek out breakdown/lore videos on it. Unfortunately MatPat hasn't touched the series yet, and while it may be too early to recommend a series of breakdowns, I would recommend keeping in mind a small creator named Cartoon Universe, in the future if such lore videos are required. He also does Hazbin and Helluva Boss. But for clarity's sake, I'm only recommending Cartoon Universe at the end of Murder Drones' season and IF it doesn't explain much. Because he uploads fairly regularly between content about Drones, Helluva and Hazbin and you and Kirby already have your plates full.

Just to clarify, you talked about CYN as a virus, that's not entirely true. More or less, CYN is a worker drone that has not run its basic operating system that gives it a goal, which as far as I understand is supposed to be service to people, so the only thing left in it is the basic AI absolut solver that has full control over the body even though such a thing should never have happened. This is also the reason why CYN moves and talks so strangely, she is an absolute solver who learns to handle the body. As far as I'm concerned, CYN reminds me a bit of Skynet from Terminator
CYN is more like a new version of the absolute solver. When V and N get brought back from Uzi's mind travel, it says CYN cleared, UZI installed, which implies both of them have their own version of the absolute solver
That error is an issue on the TH-cam app for Xbox. I know cause I use it for my TH-cam viewing as well and it's annoying. Just keep that in mind for future reactions. Most of the time you can back out of videos and resume to fix it.
