      I think they MAY be world travelers that actually live on the road; maybe? There are a lot of TH-camrs that travel the world and move countries for years at a time; and have no specific country that they are living in at the moment.

    I heard Finland has the best education system. The US could learn something from them.

    • @WAYAWAYWithAsh
      @WAYAWAYWithAsh  7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I agree. Our friend Anna who we stayed with is a teacher and it was so interesting to learn how different the process of becoming a teach is. You have to really want a teaching career to make it through the process. Although I still think they are way under payed. -Ash

      We used to have the best education system yes but we don't any more and it's getting worse. The government keep saving money on the education system and it's really affecting the quality. Both my parents are teachers and they of course think it's horrible to see the results getting worse but they can't do anything since the big decisions are made on a national level. It's really a shame since the education system used to be something we could be proud of.

    • @is8550
      @is8550 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kai Sellgren it's not only these recent cuts, the cuts have been going gradually on for a long time now. No of course these cuts aren't the only reason but they surely doesn't help. Also, there have also been changes in how the teachers are supposed to work, nowadays they have to spend more time doing administration and paper work which takes up time from the education itself.

    49$ per person?! You can go across the pond for like 30$ easily... With Eckerö Line even less... But that takes 4 hours or so. With Tallink its like 2 hours give or take.

    If there's a next time, you should visit Rauma! It's a small town in south west Finland that was born on 1442 and is famous for its handmade lace. The very centre of the town that is an UNESCO world heritage site. It even has its own dialect of Finnish! It's only a 3.5 hour drive from Helsinki to Rauma. If you do decide to visit the town, look into "pitsiviikko"(lace week) and "mustanpitsinyö"(black lace's night). On "mustanpitsinyö", there are stalls and booths all over the center of the town, from which you can by food, pastries, ice cream, candy and "metrilaku"( meter liqourice, so all kinds of liqourice that's 2.5 feet long!) and of course clothing and tourist stuff. A beauty pageant is also organized during lace week, and there are multiple free live music performances during black lace's night.

    Next time you go between Helsinki and Tallinn and wanna do it for cheaper (no matter the season), you should definitely go on a big ferry with a car deck, they’re real cruise boats actually. For example Viking Line has really cheap tickets. Saving about 30€ is definitely worth the extra hour or so on board!

  • @mikkomohonen6150

    Nice having tourist over here. Helsinki is a bit expensive as a tourist location. I recommend the 8 euro 24 hour public transportation ticket, so you can discover the city. The Hotels are expensive, so It is wise to use Hostels or such.

    Hello from Bangkok Josh and Ashley! I want to recommend for you both to visit Loyly Spa in Helsinki! www.loylyhelsinki.fi/fi/etusivu/
    I traveled to Russia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, so on, last summer and Loyly Spa was one of my favorite things. Don't forget to jump in the Baltic Sea from the deck of the spa!

      I work on the side, plus we make a little from YT now and some people have decided to help support our video making on Patreon. Plus we save money (and make some sometimes) with promotions on videos. It all ads up to be JUUUUUUSSST enough.
